    MP SKYWARP IS/WAS FREAKING AWESOME.
I fawned over him, and delicately placed him on his display stand every night.
Then, my fatass of a cat decides, the resting place for Skywarp would be better suited for his own napping purposes.

Thus, my cat jumps up to the shelf, and sends Skywarp (Jet mode) flying.
He lands on the ground with a resounding thud.

I, who was playing games on my bed cast an inquisitive eye over to the ruckus. I see Skywarp on the ground in a discoombooberated appearance.
My Jaw drops, and I run to him...

Kneeling by his side, he remains there, motionless...
    -Cue corny Darth Vader: NoOoOoOoOoOOoO~!!!!!!!!!!-

I pick up his mangled body and set him on my desk, I find that he is fairly in the field of "Reperable"

I pick up the pieces, reattach ball joints, fix the tail fins, straighten the nose cone, et cetera.

But, you know that little radar/sonar/thing that shows itself when you open the nosecone?

    IT BROKE OFF...

It's good though, I can reattach it with super-glue. But, now he's not in the perfect condition I wanted to be in.

He'll have the mangled dish thingy... and that's a shame.
    =(
    -Tear-
So, to give this thread a point.lawls,
Discuss the worse situation you've had with a transformer, has one ever broken in the palms of your hands? Was something broken the moment you laid finger on it? et cetera? discuss...

Ok, since there are bazillions of Mp skywarp threads, i better ask here (sorry if this is hijacking): I live in Chile and I really want a MP Skywarp. My preferences are durability of the toy overall. My options are either buy the takara version since it's available at a handful of stores here, but at a hefty price (around 160 dollars), or order the hasbro version via ebay with the risks it may have (that would cost around 70 dollars).

From what I've seen the pros and cons of each one are...

    Takara version
    + Red Eyes
    + Better Colors (?)
    - Softer Plastic (?)
    - Expensive

    Hasbro version

    + durable
    + cheaper
    - yellow eyes
    - more floppy (?)

I'm unsure about the (?) ones. Can you help me decide on this issue?

My MP Megatron took not one, but two tumbles off the top of my bookcase on my concrete floor. Surprisingly, he survived both falls intact and without any damage.

My Hasbro version has perfect quality control. Nothing floppy about it.
Dont buy it off E-bay. I got mine for nine bucks, if you just look around the stores. Walmart, toys r us, etc, you may be able to find a hasbro one cheap.

    @ Abrogate.
Oh I like cats, just they can cause so much trouble.

That's the problem, we don't have any of those here... there are a couple of shady stores i know that have the takara versions at the prices i mentioned, but the hasbro one is only available to me if i purchase it off the internet.

Ah, i think i can dust off my sob story here.

When i was a youngling, new Transformers were a bit of a rarity for me.
Mini Autbots were about the most i could aim for, realistically, or if i was rather lucky, an Autobot Car.

My friend Gerrard however (and we were friends before we knew Transformers even existed)had loads of them. All the Dinobots, Megatron, Prime, Jetfire. Toys i could only dream about... and he didn't particularly like sharing them.

One Halloween midterm went to stay with my Grandparents for a week, and they bought me Bluestreak. After the holidays i bought it to school to show Gerrard...

...and within about 5 seconds he managed to break the windscreen.

One would've hoped that somebody who had most of the Transformers available at the time, who wasn't too generous about sharing them, would treat other people's toys with a bit of care.

Apparently not. We were only kids, but needless to say it rankled me greatly at the time.

I remember when my friend got herself an MP Skywarp and proudly placed her new figure on a shelf only for five minutes later it pop off the peg holding it to the stand and fall down to bounce off the television, then the bed and then a bedside cabinet and onto the floor. It was an awesome tumble and it was like seeing it in slow motion when it happened. Most amazing of all though was the figure made it through it all without any damage.

So far, I've had no problems with my cat getting into my collection.
I do worry about my two Masterpieces falling off though since they seem so flimsy and very difficult to set into standing position. Once set, they seem to hold their own......................so far.

I forget how old I was at the time (between 5 and 10), but I had a G2 Prime. It had the purplish-legs, black trailer, obnoxious voice box, the works.

    It also had detachable fists.

I got the thing for Christmas, and became the happiest kid on Earth for all of a month.

I'm playing with him one day when I realize one of his fists has come off. A second later I hear the rattling "clink clr-rr-r-r-r-rk ftunk!" as that precious fist flies up the vacuum cleaner hose.

We never were able to find it, even with opening the tank/filter outside.

I have a G1 Prime and a G2 Prime again now (plus many others) but I'll never forget my first G2 Optimus Prime :(
