Here is another MP by myself.

Some of you will already know that i have started Shrapnel, Bombshell and here is the 3rd Kickback

Early days but thought i would upload what i have so far.

Here really has driven me mad the last week but he is on his way now.

I really enjoy your work you do and I love following these WIPs too.

These are just my thoughts, and I know you will bring this masterpiece together really well.

Looking at bot mode the proprtions seem good. The wings stand a good height/lenght above the body. Great idea for the use of wings, I looked at those but shrugged them off. I like them now for Kickback...

I thought the shoulders are too far apart though, if there was a way to bring them closer to the body. That would look great.

The top of the shin at the back of the knee seem chunky, I would narrow them at the top there, and still have em the same width at the bottom. So they are a kind of sloping instead of square.

I think the foot you done looks great, suits him well. Nice touch with the triangle detail. Very G1...

Im curious to see how you will bring the front insect legs in...

I cant wait to see more of this WIP. Kickback is one of my favourites Insecticons.

Hi guys a small update.

I am working on kickback this week and i have to say that I have not been very happy with the build to date so i am adding extra love.

I am also trying to learn the 3D side of things and so i thought i would have a shot at designing the legs 1st and then build it by hand.

Here is what i have come up with this evening and i will build it in the morning.

Please let me know what you think.

Hi all here is a small but massive update.

After getting used to solidwoks i created a new leg on the computer as seen above then when i got to the workshop i hand built it and this is what i cam up with.

I think it is 100 times better and I cant wait to to carry on the build tomorrow.

So I cheated a bit or did I.

I printed the part to scale and then I traced a template






After cutting the parts I added the parts to click the legs into.












What i did then was fill all the cracks and rubbed the leg down and primed then rubbed and primed twice more.

I then built the added detail including the feet. i pinned the feet and blue tacked the detail inplace because these will be cast on there own.

Below is was it cam out like. the other leg is about at the rubbing down stage.

How did you decide to do pins? I'd be set if I could get a solid workflow down for that.

looks nice, but the bionicle parts just look so out of place. its like throwing movieverse parts on a G1 figure. if you filled them out and smoothened them, it would look nicer. there are just way to many small details in those parts

cuz I know u can do it, just Dinobots are perfect...
tell me are u indeed planning on doing those last when all the basics 100%

 

well funning you 2 picked up on that because my mate and i were talking about the wings and if i should scratch build them or not. He said let the guys on the web decide. I have to wait and see whay tomorrow brings all the best and thanks for your input DS

well I have to say you guys were right.

Below is the new look 2.

I have Made new wings and the arms one is still to be finished.
