Yeah, Their shelfwarming in buffalo now to, I guess all the bad reviews of it turned people off. At first when it first dropped, it was the lochness monster, now, its common, which is sad because I wanted it so bad

 

Was it always $69.99? I thought I paid 60 for it, but who knows.. I was so excited to finally find one it didn't matter what it cost!  

Also, it is Eligible for Store Pickup!

 

They upped the price a while back; some stores even started with that price

I think i got mine for 40 or so?
So tru raises prices till they dont sell...Seems smart to me.

Edit-I think i had a coupon...but still.

 

I stopped by my local TRU late last week and they bumped it up to $74.99!!! I was like WTF????? I originally paid $50..

 

Ya he is an easy find in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area Canada)

I was lucky enough to find mine while a 30% off sale was going on, I picked him up for $50. You can imagine how that price blew me away seeing as I spent most of 2010 buying up 3rd party stuff.

 

Yea, he's shelf warming in these parts too.

 

I have notice that TRU raised the price on everything right before the holiday rush, not just this particular item. I got mine for around $50 including tax with a 20% off around August. Mine doesn't have any quality issue, nothing that I cant fix. I guess I got lucky for my first Master piece.

 

Nah. It's just typical TRU exclusives. Grimlock shelfwarmed in my area before the holiday season also. Also reiussue insecticons and perceptor.

 

yeah I remember the insecticons and perceptor shelfwarming for quite a long time, even after the holidays..

 

The one near me scanned for 80.99. I said heck no.

 

It must be all that DOTM stuff that's still sitting on the shelves... I mean that stuff ain't budging either.. They overmark the stuff that they know will sell quickly because of the demand, while movie figs just sit there. I'm guessing they use strategies to get you somehow... that's why there constantly doing buy1get1 50% for movie stuff..

 

I dont have a TRU near me, so i woulda ordered him, but i was hooked up in august by Sideswip1954 here on the boards

 

There's two TRU's by me... one had a problem trying to keep folks from buying multiples (apparently scalpers like visiting this place) and another still has two just lying around in the back.

I paid 60, which was MSRP... I have to tell you that he's honestly not worth it.
