    Hey everyone,

I should be getting an alternator Smokescreen in the mail any day now that is missing his left door. I got to thinking, can i reshell him and turn him into a masterpiece prowl?

So, does anyone have any experience with this? will this 1:25 scale datsun 240Z shell work?

any help with this would be incredible.

I did a quick tutorial on how to reshell 280Z's.

....give it a look see. Could have some problem solvers in there. It was done in 1/24 so much of the extra trimming may not be nessasary for your own. The biggest problem is positioning the donor alt far enough back into the shell. A 280Z turbo is longer and would probably work better.

thanks a ton. that should def. help. Are you in the process of working on those or are they finished? and if they're not, is the smokescreen finished? if so, u have a linky? :)  you might have been the person I saw making a g1 accurate smokescreen one time. i saw a WIP around a year ago.

Ran into some problems with alignment so both are on hold.

The Smokescreen you're thinking about was done by ShawnL7. His WIP pics are gone but the final product is still up around here. He did an amazing job.
