insane to the insanest of insane levels..... they say mimicry is the highest form of flattery.... i hope that if/when takara borrows your design, they give you full credit and monies. hope you made a ton of loot on these guys you deserve every penny. congrats on impressing the tfworld again, lol.
Holy CRAP!!! They all look awsome... my only question is why Prowl and not Smokescreen or even Blue Streak?? Just kidin'. I love the step by step pictures of the transformation and all the hard work and detail you put into it!
I haven't seen a kitbash this good in years. Wow. Do you have molds of these parts then? Do the dupes go on ebay?
This is quite simply masterpiece level goodness. Oh. My. God. I love the panels to close up gaps; that's just every TF fans dream. Just amazing, man. Really amazing.
If TakaraTomy's version ends up looking remotely like this, I'll be a very happy camper. I'd rather have one by Jarrod, but I'll have to be satisfied with a sub-par copy Thank you SO much for documenting this journey; it's been an absolute pleasure to see every step and also watch you grow exponentially as an artist over the years. You have quickly become one of my favorite TF custom artists ever along with TFMaster, Lobo, Wikkid, Wheel_Jack, and plowking.
ABSOLUTELY EPIC! though can I suggest using pin striping tape to mask with as the edge of the blackouts are a bit sloppy! its leaves are far straighter line than paper masking tape can! really its a must dude and its not too late you fix up the edges with it!
Thanks everyone! Yep, lots of Gundam parts! Yeah, I like this one a lot more than Jazz too. It helped that I had a better idea of what I wanted to do going into it. I tried to fit as much robot into that car as I could, and I think I succeeded pretty well! Nope, each one was built from scratch....I actually don't do any kind of molding and casting. All three were commissions and spoken for before I started. Honestly, because that's who my buyers wanted. Thanks man! Nah, tried it, didn't like it. And for whatever reason, the edges look MUCH worse in the pictures...I think light is catching the little ridges left from the masking, and making the edges look uneven. Not mention that for the most part, your looking at picture bigger than the real thing. In person they look great!
What can I say? Your MP Jazz, Skids & now Prowl, without a shadow of a doubt, would have to be 3 of the best MP customs - ever created. Your scratch-building, engineering, transformations, fit-n-finish, paintjob... Wow! Beautiful. Simply Beautiful. So... Wheeljack, Tracks, Bumblebee... Who's next?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! It's so amazing I can't even deal with it. I can only laugh! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I don't need to tell you how perfect these are so I'll add that seeing the "extra" little steps in the transformation are what makes a custom like this far more special. Just having things like the windshield push in a little tighter or even the extra flip out side body fillers shows how you've gone to great lengths to clean up any loose ends. Very few customizers put that level of attention into their work.
These are beautiful. Perhaps the best executed custom I've seen here. Thanks for all the awesome documentation.
Purely inspirational brother! Man, looking at all these awesome artists really is pushing me to do just as good. I can only hope I can to this point. Just awesome!
