Anybody else's copy double taped on one side? Might explain the delay.

 

I think @murphbri said his was. I got mine from the same seller he did but mine was not double taped.

 

Yes, mine was double-taped as well but I received it on 10/6. I also noticed a large white sticker on the bottom in what I am guessing is Chinese since some of the English on it says
"HASBRO S.A.
Rm 1308 World Commerce Centre Harbour City,
T.S.T. Kowloon, H.K."

Not sure what that is all about.

Interesting that you didn't have the double-tape. How was the QC on yours?

 

Thanks for the input. That's weird I don't have a sticker like that on the bottom of mine. Just curious what kind of qc issues have there been? I've heard of the gun being bent or something like that.

 

I didn't notice the sticker at first since it blended in pretty well with the bottom (white sticker with Asian writing on top of white background with Asian writing).

Aside from the gun holding issue, if you go back a few pages you can see pics of various paint imperfections, nothing too crazy depending on your tolerance for such things. The factory where they are making these now apparently has poor filtration, as I have seen pics of air-borne fibers/hairs being mixed in with the paint.

 

I haven't transformed it to bot mode yet but so far car mode looks good. How is the qc on yours? Why do you think yours was double taped?

 

Mine has lots of little paint flaws. Dirt/hair in the paint but also screw-ups like the line separating white and black on the side of the car not being straight. The only one that really bugs me is a line on the face.

 

I’ve received brand new figures that have been double taped (outer box) and the inner plastic tray was single taped. I’ve seen it mentioned it’s for a last minute visual inspection. I’ve also received double taped outer box double taped inner tray but the figure still strapped in with those long plastic strings that are hole punched through the plastic (MPM-04 Japanese version) one of the best QC figures I ever got from TT.

 

Doubled taped is actually a piece of mind that the figure is pretty dam good. I prefer the box being doubled taped . I only have gotten a few pieces that are like that but it’s not uncommon .
