Awesome price. Makes me wonder why Takara's was so damn expensive. I think I spent $250 for my MP-10.

Waiting for a coupon is always a scary proposition.
It worked out for me when I got my MP Rodimus for $48
Not so much when I couldn't find a MP Grimlock because I waited.

I may get this, as I plan on collecting more Masterpieces in the future (it helps that nothing in the regular lines in stores appeals to me so I won't be spending money on the smaller stuff, which frees up money for MPs).

This is a pretty solid price for it.

So although we have a price now, this doesn't really confirm nor deny the wide release rumor. I'm more interested in that at this point.

 

Very good price for MP-10. If you don't have the Takara one, you should strongly consider purchasing this, as soon as you see it on the shelf. Worthy every penny.

 

I just got done talking to my TRU guy (yes, I have a guy  ) and he showed me the exact same screen. So at least this confirms this info is relevant to TRU. However, it does nothing for the wide release rumor.

 

Mp-10 is awesome and even better at this price point.

Most of the time I have to calculate estimated AU$ prices from known US$ prices, so I'm glad the reverse on this occasion worked out to be just right. (considering how many people were keen to dispute it at the time, I'm relieved it was correct in the end, so that I didn't give false hope to anyone here)

 

I work at Babies R Us. So, we're obviously never going to get this in stock, but I can at least keep an eye on my local TRU!

It should be pointed out that this is only Toys R Us's price. If it does end up at mass retail as is rumored, it will probably be cheaper at say, Walmart.

Why is everyone ignoring this possibility:

Hopefully this is a wide release.

If it's TRU only, IMO it will be 10% to 20% more than the initial price. This would put it at $110-$120 at TRU. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being $130 at TRU after their possible increase.

TRU has been known to mark up their own initial prices once they find out how much demand there is for a figure.

Competition would be a great thing for this figure. It would drive prices down.

TRU and Kmart would have their usual markup while Target and a Walmart would most likely offer it at $99.99 and $99.96 respectively.

 

At least we know the starting price for it is $99.99. And will probably stay that way for at least a couple weeks, unless they decide to price hike it right before it's released. However, even at $109.99, or $119.99, this is still a steal compared to Takara. And TRU does send out a lot of 20% off coupons.
