Alright, I'm hoping I'm missing something completely obvious and I'm being a dumbass, but I can't figure this out. Just got MP-4 in today and noticed something different on my figure from the box art, which I think is a defect. Pictures below: Here is how my Optimus Prime stands - notice his GREY hip panels. Here is how he is suppose to stand - wth YELLOW hip panels But with his yellow hip panels forward his legs become backwards; his feet are facing behind him: I've looked over the instructions and feel like I understood them well, but I can't understand how his yellow hip panels and feet are supposed to face the same way. Did I recieve a defect Prime? Or am I missing something here...any help would be nice guys. Thanks in advance.
Take his legs apart (the upper gray part, but be careful when doing this). Then switch and reassemble. Or sell this one (but that would be dishonest). Oh, and Zherbus, LOOK AT TEH GAS TANK THINGYS.
rotate waist so that the yellow is in front and rotate the leg 180 degrees (there is a joint there that allows the leg to rotate)
Looks to me like the legs are switched. I haven't looked at my 20th Ann. Optimus for awhile and I can't get to mine at the moment, but does it look like you can disassemble the hips and make the switch? Edit: man people can type fast
but he doesn't........*smacks forehead* brainfart, i see i have had experience dealing with the upper leg assembly, it is simple to just swap, just take your time and just look closely as to how it is assembled, hopefully you just got to unscrew the top part of it and just switch the legs, it is the knee joint that is a pain to put back together
guys, quit telling him to just rotate the legs. the legs are on wrong. if he rotates the legs, the wheels and tanks will be on the inside of the leg. that would look awful, and he wouldnt be able to stand properly. either his upper legs are going to have to be opened up and switched, or the waist is gonna have to be opened up and turned around. I dont know which, I've never opened him up. but just turning the legs wont fix it. damn, people. look at it.
How do I go about switching the legs? Which screws, pins, or whatever do I remove? I'm not exactly a Radicon, but it seems easy enough to switch two legs.
Weird assembly error. Just switch the legs at the hips. It should be simple enough. I think it is only a couple of screws.
Yeah, you're late to the party. A second look yielded lots of 'ooooh, that sucks.' Yeah, if I recall correctly, unscrewing the thighs (the two screws there) and swapping ought to work... don't listen to me though, as I've never had to personally do it.
okay, these are the screws you got to take out: as you can see, you got to take the four screws shown in the picture out. position your prime's legs just like that so you don't have to worry about a flying screw okay, before taking apart the upper leg, do as i say, make sure you keep the leg in the position i say, that way you can manage to take the top apart without the spring and all coming out of place. okay, word of advice, it is going to have to take he-man strenght to get that leg back assembled because of that blasted spring in there.....that bastard is tough, heck you must have every screw out to get the leg together, it might take some time, but be careful, have a screw and screwdriver ready then carefully put leg where it belongs (facing the way i told you) and just rescrew the bottom screw first, worry about the top one last, get the bottom screw completely screwed in. then turn legs forward and presto you done
And the problem is solved Thanks for all your help guys. Convoy, thanks for the added help with the pictures. Mods, do with this thread as you like.
