Well, you should direct your praise to HA, and not Takara. They are the ones that design the coins/ diecast figurines and distributing them. Transformersasia.com has many of their past exclusive bonuses. In fact, even some MPs in Takara packaging are actually done by Hasbro Asia and not Takara. I believe the non-Starscream Seekers were HA, as was MP-5G. Some reissues as well.
OK, I've swung back around to wanting this guy, but of course I've missed all of the great pre-order prices.... Who's got the best price with shipping to North America???
Double guns? You can do that if you have Inferno and Grapple. Just take a spare gun from one, then spin the other hand round ..... oh wait .... Damn!
They were both G1 Japanese exclusives, though Soundblaster was in the Japanese Headmasters cartoon while Artfire was never in the anime.
Ok. I assumed that was the extent of it. I'm so happy that this figure has tampos. It truly seems much more 'premium' now. I know it's a grail for a lot of people. So now I'm very proud to be able to add it to my collection. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I never apply stickers. Never. I hate it for various reasons. So if there were no Tampos I'd forever have a blank Artfire sitting there. Now I get to experience him completely. Again. I'm very excited. I think this will take Inferno's place in my favorites list.
Had to dump this guy because FT's Skyfire hit sooner . I'll get back around to picking him up later in the year . He looks great and I love the headmaster
Looking forward! He'll be the last MP figure I get before I move this summer. Now I can pack up all my MP figures...
In the bios for these repaints they often add a big back story. The owner of Soundwavesoblivion.com has translated a few of them. Road Rage comes with Twincast because she's supposed to be hunting him down for harboring a Decepticon fugitive (one of his retroactive cassettes, Flip Sides, is a Decepticon spy). Exhaust was an underling of Soundwave (that's why there's a photo of them together on the back of his box) with a whole story about a company called Marlboor. Loud Pedal was actually a musician who went by the name Cymond's Shadow (explaining the CS logo - fun fact, Cymond (Ciaclone Diamond) rather than Diaclone (Diamond Cyclone). He teamed up with Exhaust to sell his music. The MC repaint of Blaster is supposed to be his recording device, and the Raoul figure is his avatar. These guys explain everything. I'm sure we'll find out why Soundblaster is pictured there with some cool backstory!
Sure it did originally but Takara retconned it as a way of including it for Diaclone fans, with a canon explanation
