It's from a Chinese review of a "factory reject" copy. The reviewer didn't receive the target master though.
So I guess this means that along with switching back to coins Takara is switching back to tampos instead of stickers? I guess they've listened to the fans.
As long as the coins are being made and officially licensed or endorsed by Takara, that's all that matters.
How do you get the coins, since you are based in Japan? Do you have to reverse import the Asian edition? Or just grab the coins individually?
Takara is not including them in anything. These coins/ other freebies were originally created by HA to incentivise non-Japanese Asian buyers to purchase their toys locally from their HA distributor, rather than import them from Japan for slightly cheaper. HA (independent of Takara) started them even before the MP line, with these small extras being included with previous lines and recently for some UW gift-sets as well. If you buy from Takara as a distributor (such as from within Japan), it doesn't come with the collector coin. The only extras included by Takara were the short-lived Amazon exclusives... I believe the last one was the battle mask for MP Bumblebee.
what Gamerlingual said. I know Takara doesn't make them. I didn't say they did. They appear to be offered in place of the little die cast figurines now is what I'm saying. That's what led me to think maybe fan input was taken into consideration.
