I used them with DHL shipping. Honestly It was pretty positive. I got him in about 2 days. Even EMS shipping from HLJ isn't that quick. Placing the order is simple enough, especially if you have ever used Amazon before. Just be careful though. Some of their preorders are unavailable now. It seems you have to jump on them quick to secure them.

Thanks. I went ahead and preordered Grapple and Megatron. All in all I will save around $100 total vs buying from a local seller - should the current yen to dollar rates hold.

I have to mostly agree with this. Came home from Christmas vacation to find him and busted the parcel open today. I love almost everything about him. The size, the heft, the proportions, the brilliant engineering, the posability, the accessories...but there's so much empty space. Even the back end of the fire truck mode is a faceless chunk of plastic; they couldn't even add lights. The Fuso cab is perfect but the character/vehicle seems to change stylistically at the waist. BUT having him posed here on my desk still makes me very happy to have him and I'm looking forward to Grapple.

I have to say, Inferno won me over. He's not worth $140.00, so import him for cheaper, if you can, but he's worth buying.

I was a bit turned off by the transformation at first. The design/look wasn't winning any awards with me either.

Now? I love him. The toon accurate look, the heft, the transformation that's smooth like silk, all of it won me over.

I received MMC Backdraft for Christmas and I ended up selling him, sealed. I took one look at him in the box, felt the weight and thought "Why bother? I already have the Inferno I wanted." And I wanted Backdraft in the beginning! Something about it just felt off to me, even just in the box, that Inferno got right.

I watched the video reviews, I saw the transformation, I had no desire to get into all of that when this Inferno does it all. Plus, with Reprolabels working their magic (and they will), some of that lost detail will be recovered for those who want it.

Would anybody want a Shattered Glass Inferno repaint?

I have Backdraft and like it very much. I have Inferno as well and my opinion of it pretty much lines up with yours. Definitely not worth $140 price tag IMO so that's why I imported it for about $100 shipped. It does have it's positives though, not necessarily in the design but for what I paid for it I'm ok.

In your honest opinion, if you could only have one Inferno which would you keep? I'm heavily considering selling my official and getting either Backdraft or waiting to see how Dante turns out.

It really comes to personal preference:

    Inferno
    -lots of accessories
    -exact g1 toon look/less detail
    -lighter weight
-ladder stores away and is out of sight in bot mode

    Backdfraft
-has more die cast/heft kind of like FansToys
-rubber (or rubber like) tires instead of plastic
    -slightly better hand articualtion
-arm cannon is present in each arm & doesn't need to be adjusted or removed first to show the fists
    -slightly better hand articulation
-rifle barrel can extend and retract. Same for the arm cannons.
    -clear plastic headlights
-more detailed including the back, chromed roof horns.
-cheaper to buy than MP Inferno at this point
-you can ask the retailer to send you the replacement parts kit with your order (faster) or you can request it directly from MMC.

I've had all the 3P ones for review and I've only kept MP-33. It's my favourite by far.

    All the best

I'd wait to see how Dante pans out. ChromeMagnus did a good comparison above. I'll add to it that MP33's head/faces are much better than backdraft. Backdraft's alt mode also does not really do it for me as Inferno either. The cab is off and, while it is sort of silly considering the source material and all its flaws, I don't really like Backdraft's alt mode. It's small and doesn't evoke Inferno nearly as well as the official.

Backdraft is a great figure, especially after installing the replacement parts, but I'm not sure he is the best Inferno. I'm thinking of selling mine and getting Artfire in that mold.

Found on DaimChoc Reports facebook page. OceanDesigns labels for Takara MP-33 Inferno. 15825850_385805701769863_8603677968227085241_n.jpg 15873413_385805705103196_6505301714499277456_n.jpg 15873456_385805748436525_2916416493671452338_n.jpg 15873518_385805708436529_7169812293907489723_n.jpg 15895333_385805745103192_5118606690130210939_n.jpg

I love this figure and these stickers will make it even better.

I don't like all of them, like the multicoloured leg stickers but the little detail stickers are good e.g. Fire Dept, Fuso and waist details.

I prefer these clear 'dry transfer' stickers to Reprolabels.

The stickers for the rear alt mode were sorely needed. I'll wait and see how the reprolabels set turns out.

Each to his own and all that, but damn, those stickers look hideous. (I really don't like Artfire's look either). Can see why the G1 toy fans would like it though.

I might put on the F∆D stickers that came with Inferno.

You mentioned " slightly better hand articulation " twice when talking about that 3rd party version . ;) ........ what are doing with your figures I wonder lol.

Takara's magic mass shifting in action.

Ironhide and Inferno don't look that much different in size in bot mode, but in alt mode from underneath, Inferno looks HUGE.
