Finally received my slow SAL shipped MP Inferno this morning (Christmas Eve). Talk about timing.

Christmas and I finally got to open and play with inferno. Lovely figure!

In the instructions it shows Inferno holding the fire hose with the nossel closed and rested ontop of the chrome hand:
How is the hose sticking on? Is it just balanced? Can't see anything to clip it on.

Also - do only two faces fit with the you head and two with the toon head? Seems oddly restrictive.

And @Chiller yep, two faces fit a helmet, which I too was disappointed about.

    Superb pics, Maz!
I opened my Inferno today for the first time. As expected, he's an instant favorite Masterpiece, just edging out Ultra Magnus.
Mine does have one slight flaw: the toy style helmet is unpainted, so no yellow paint on the grills for me. Not a huge issue: it's very fixable with a little paint.

    Finally opened mine, Christmas present.

Mixed bag at first. Transformation from truck to robot is fine, robot to truck sucks. (The head is an absolute pain in the ass.)
Better with more tinker time, and I was fortunate enough to have good paint and no broken elbows. (I see why they can break, though. Geez.)
Do have the left arm not closing problem. Drives me batty.

    Recommended.

It's a documented issue. The paint build up prevents its from closing fully. A couple of quick swipes of a file or hobby blade will fix the problem.

Has anyone tried the mod for the left arm with any success. Apparently you need something like an exacto knife to file down the sides of the highlighted area.

    Here's the English translation:

Yeah, either a knife or a nail file, it doesn't take much and the arm closes fine.

The highlighted bit times a million! It's very strange because I actually marvel at the engineering and both of the modes the transformation results but I find the robot to alt-mode a pain in the ass as well I also feel this way about the datsun mold but to a lesser extent.

Other than that he's spectacular and makes me even more pumped for Grapple as he's a character I've always wanted in MP form.

I found simply applying pressure to close the forearm from the underside as opposed to the side of the arm works for mine. So I'd try that before filing or cutting,

It was a pain the first time because I was paying much attention. Its so intuitive in going from bot to robot and I didnt pay attention to how parts were lined up particularly the arms and head now I have it worked out .

You mean from alt to bot? Yeah, very true, even the other way which is a pain in the ass is still intuitive, I'll give it that. Brilliant engineering.

I did the mod with an xacto blade carefully removing a tiny bit from each side. Basically you need to remove the thickness of the paint which is what messed up the tolerances that kept it from closing right.

I attempted the pressure application method but that did not work. Any touching of the left forearm caused the gap again. I used a thin sand stick to sand down the highlighted areas and this did the trick. Overall it is a good figure even though it doesn't have the premium heft, detailed look, and feel of MMC's Backdraft. The accessories are a nice touch. To answer someone's question, each helmet has its own set of swappable faces. Each helmet has a standard face but the rounded helmet gets the smiling face while the pointed forehead helmet gets the rage face. I don't think you can exchange the faces across helmets.
