Look at the actual die-cast Optimus mini figure coming with Hasbro Asia's MP-33 Inferno.

 

So these die-cast mini figures are what's replacing the coins?

 

Thats what I am guessing. But its not just that which got replaced, the whole company did. the coincs came from hasbro asia and these figures come from Transformers Asia, so it looks like Transfomrers Asia has replace Hasbro Asia for the release and distribution of these figures. Thats odd since I thought Transfomrers Asia was rather limited.

 

Yeah.... I think I can live without those things. I'll keep buying the cheaper, sans die-cast figure versions.

Ewwww...that looks pretty terrible. As I said in the Grapple discussion I never cared for the coins but these are even less desirable and make little sense to me. I'm hoping the BW figures continue with nice to have extra accessories like Primal has.

 

Grapple is just slightly shorter. His lower legs are thicker than those of Inferno. He has more weight on his back too. Very nice to see that one mold turns out quite different between two MPs.

 

Instead of the mini-figures, I'd rather they use those resources to improve further on build quality. Stronger plastic, finish, rubber tires, articulated hands, etc.

 

Rubber tires suck.

 

They do? The rubber tires on my 30-yo G1 Autobot cars are still good. Is the rubber used today bad quality?
