What is the cheapest retailer to the US to order Megs from? Nippon Yasan doesn't seem as cheap as they used to be.

I have it on order with Amazon Japan for about $172 shipped.

 

Maybe they can make a promo video on megatron like they did with Ultra Magnus and now with "Movie The Best".

 

The main 3P mod I'm really hoping for is some way to replace the Japanese voice recording with good 'ole Frank Welker's audio. He'll always be the real Megatron.

 

If mine winds up being the Japanese VO I'll need one of these too!

 

As far as I know, there will only be a Japanese voice version? This is made by Takara for the Japanese market and we're all importing from there.
Unless Takara are really nice to us, the only chance of a proper Welker voice chip would be a Hasbro release, and it's questionable if they would ever bother to do that, what with replica gun laws and restrictions etc. Desperately hoping I'm wrong but...
I think the closest things to this we've seen are the 20th Anniversary MP and the 25th Anniversary G1 Primes, and as far as I know they were both Hasbro products? One used Cullen's voice and one used an impersonator but both were English. This though, is a Japanese release by Takara.

 

I guess we'll have to wait and see, I agree that the Japanese VO seems the most likely.

 

It's suposed that they are 3 types of language (japanese, chinese and english depending of the store), we don't know at this point if he has the real voice of welker.

 

If it's like anything else from Takara, there will be only one voice.

Except as far as i know it's all coming out of the same place? Takara Tomy Japan? I might believe the "three voices depending on store" if he was being released as Takara, Hasbro Asia and Hasbro US versions... hoping I'm wrong and you're right though. This looks so amazingly like G1 Megs, that gravelly Welker voice would just be the icing on the cake!

 

Can anyone remove the background and just leave the megs?.

 

From Amazon Japan it'll cost me roughly 190 euro including shipping, 160 if I'm very lucky with import duties. I usually want to read at least one review before ordering but if I wait more the price will skyrocket...
