Preorder is up on AmazonJP now. He has gone up since I preordered a while ago, but he's gotta drop a little again eventually. For me it comes to about $207.20 shipped to the US, for now.
Last ones. These are wide open (F1.2)
Nice pics. V sharp for 1.2!
Thanks for the heads up, @Spaceman1251 . Just PO'd my second copy. Had such a great experience the first time around getting Megatron from AJ, I definitely wanted to go the same route. He also quickly became my favorite figure so if there's ever a figure I want two copies of, this guy is it. I've already gotten way more than $200 worth of enjoyment out of it!
I think TF source sells it seperately.
Those pics look Sixo-esque. Great work!!
Any word if Takara has or is fixing the pant chipping/scratching problem? Big reason why I'm holding off or may not even get it. Thinking of using that money to get a Hot Toys 1/6th Boba Fett instead.
Also any word of a silver metallic deco version coming that had been rumored?
Right now we can only speculate, TBH. it'd be stupid as f if they refused to fix those issues with the next batch.
Thank you so much for that huge compliment. 6XO is a tremendous photographer.
I appreciate the kind words! =)
I'm not holding my breath for the reissue to fix any of the problems with the mold...not only would it be out of step with TT's past MP practices (other than the one-shot MP-11 waist issue fix), but what an absolute slap in the face to those of us who already bought it the first time. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy for those who get the improvements, but livid with TT and their disregard for getting it right the first time (and there's no good reason for that to happen, anyway...onsies, twosies, ok, but not the whole production run).
Second, more importantly, that problematic pin that's causing the shoulder paint scratches. I've read here someone had luck with a Dremmel...can someone please point me in the right direction of how to modify that's protruding pin? I have no Dremmel experience...what bit should I be using? Any tips? Thanks.
I think it was me that mentioned the dremel. The green cone shaped bit in the kit linked below is the bit I used. But other bits will most likely work too. I happened to have that bit so I used it and it worked. The best way to fix the pin is to remove it and file it shorter before reinstalling. But I couldn't get it out without damaging the figure. So I used that carbide dremel bit to shave the protruding part of the pin down. I held the dremel steady and used the tip of the bit to grind the pin down. To get it perfectly flush you will end up marring the black plastic around the pin a bit. To me it was acceptable because that part is not visable in either mode.

Nope, there are other occasions where TT fixed issues with the second run. Another example is MP 09. See the post by PoweredConvoy in this page: Any way to identify the new Masterpiece Rodimus Prime MP-09 (V.2.0) by the outer box?
That's actually quite a bit of improvements.
There were also some plastic stressing issue(?) with MP22 that was resolved with subsequent runs.
TT has a captive audience and they know it.
Some of the best $200 I've ever spent.
Nice pics. Just in case you didn't know, and this info might improve your Megatron experience, did you know you can push the back of his calfs in so the back of the leg is all nice and flush?
Nice lego F40 too!
Wow!!! Raising your own bar, dude!!
Totally didn't realize I copied someone!!! We should string it together and make a gif.
Edit: and legs now flush. Good eye!
