Takara QC at its finest, AGAIN. I guess they want the buyer to be happy by Henry Kwok :(

If they do, it won't be any time soon. They are doing multiple runs of MP-36 and he's selling like hot cakes.

Nope. Best you can do is lay it in his hand and push the thumb over it or try wrapping the thumb and fingers around it. It doesn't tab in like the weapons do.

Are you serious?? Maybe BBTS isn't selling out because you want this so bad. Perhaps a nice lesson to you for trying to be a scalper. FFS...

Can't blame Takara for a factory monkey fucking up. They don't stand over them as they assemble and package these things. Apparently some of those guys who work there doing that one job are blind and clueless most of the time.

Actually, Takara would be the only one to blame. They contracted the factory, they set the parameters, their name is on the box.

Don't bother. Most people either Takara or 3rd party buyers suffer from the Stockholm Syndrome.

Megatron's longer thighs allow for poses like those

His deep knee bend, thigh swivel and deep ankle tilt does a lot of the work as well. One thing about the figure is that it holds the pose without falling over. The weight distribution is well placed.

Ah man, that's the same spot that's messed up the most on mine. I didn't even apply excess force to it; that pin was just sticking way too far out. I carefully filed it down a bit, but now I'm left with a really noticeable chip and no easy way to cover it up since, even if I mixed a perfectly matching shade, the paint is kind of crinkled as well because of the pin and stands out like a sore thumb on that otherwise smooth shoulder.

Finally managed to get MP Megs transformed in to alt mode on Friday night after initially bailing on him earlier in the week due to his upper arm panel not clearing. Turns out that it would indeed go the way intended if a bit of careful force was applied.

I used paik4life's Youtube video for the initial transformation and then used Peaugh's video to transform him back (Peaugh had him in alt mode to start with in his video).

The scariest moments for me were the upper arm panels and the hips - the hips were stupidly tight to pull down.

Overall, there was little paint rubbing and where there was rub, it is in places unseen in either mode. If you are to transform him then you have to expect a certain amount of rubbing.
I even managed to remove the silencer with little to no paint issues (the only spots I can see are two very tiny pinhead sized marks which could have very easily been there before applying the part).

Will I try the transformation again? Probably not. It was the most unpleasant thing I have ever done involving a Transformer. He is now smiling maniacally in my Detolf holding the Key to Vector Sigma aloft.

Verdict (After initially having a slight pang of 'buyers remorse'): I'm in love.

I meant you can't directly blame them, the factory workers have to have some accountability for their mistakes. Takara doesn't have in house reps that stand over each guy waving their fingers at each screw up, and the factory only performs spot checks at random.

Takara themselves aren't packaging these, or placing the faces in the trays. The paint issue yes, directly Takara, there's no way their designers didn't take that into consideration unless the factory applied it too thick, but too, they themselves do spot checks and would have caught that if it wasn't up to spec. But something as random as a wrong face in a box is totally the packagers fail, regardless who's name is on the box.

No, it's called common sense and putting blame where it belongs. Yes, Takaras name is on the box, they themselves didn't package it, nor can they check every single one before the plastic tray goes in the box, that is that individual factory workers sole job at the time. It's a random case, not a widespread panic inducing event. Takara had to know about potential paint chipping, that is an entirely different issue than a random wrong face in a plastic tray. So no, you can't directly blame Takara for a random event that's been reported maybe three or four times. Just like you can't blame them for cheap plastic when someone wrenches a barrel off because of heavy handedness or impatience.
