Happy birthday!! What a present. Wonder if I got my G1 Megatron for a birthday?? Cant really remember. Definitely remember I got Jazz for a birthday though - remember it vividly as my little brother broke it the same day!!    

Don't worry dude!! I'm pretty certain if I have any disappointment, it wont be the figure, nor a feeling it was overhyped by yourself, but because I just cant pull off poses as cool as some of your pics!!

The haters already chimed in, so look for them again. Mostly the ones who will complain after are the ones who apparently bought it just to have something to complain about later, or just unhappy about officials despite actually still buying it. And then cue the KO bullshit posts, which have been seen a few times already. 3P posts will always be prevalent just as official posts in 3P threads will, so, don't even worry about those.

 

It's funny that I'm always extremely happy to be able to talk to some of the most rational and reasonable person like you . And also funny that Takara's fans are somehow more chill than most of 3P fans. And dont even mention about KO . While I do agree that some of the KO that were produced til now are mostly good and lots of improvement from the original mold , I still dont wholeheartly support it. People can buy whatever they want , but bring it on as a norm that something will probably be KOed soon is very disrespectful. Disrespect those who buy the authentic figure to support the company , disrespect those that used all their blood and money and imagination to design and engineering what we hold dear right now.

Reading his twitter , I think he was very surprised at the new hand design , with can bring up lots more pose and expression
He described the grey color as "product was painted with a metallic gray subdued luxury"

 

I find this image very special and interesting , and just prove that we need a V3 Optimus .
The aesthetic of these 2 seems very alike and both follow cartoon accuracy trend quite well.

I had sent an inquiry to HLJ as soon as I got their notification regarding installing the orange plug. I asked:

How permanent is this modification?
Is it glued in place?
Will this involve cutting or modifying the clam-shell internal packing?

So, the plug WILL be glued in place. There was no comment on how the clam shell packaging will be modified to accommodate the plug. HLJ is very sensitive to their customer base in the past and I would be surprised if the were not so this time.

 

I found them in a toy store where they were being sold individually for 300 yen (about $3) so I got Megatron and Starscream and maybe I'll get Soundwave when he's released. I just thought they looked fun. Really small though.
