According to one of my friends who currently owns MP-36 in Vietnam, the Megatron is painted in silvery grey, not matte grey. And he is quite impressed by the die-cast parts used and genius transformation. The voice gimmick is in Japanese. Sorry that I promised him cannot share any image or video here.....

 

with something protected by the preorder price guarantee, it doesn't matter what the price was when you preordered it (assuming it's not the lowest price offered). You will get the lowest price that was ever offered from amazon, regardless of if you ordered it at that price or not. You won't see that until it's shipped, and they send you the email stating the final price.

Then take in the count the exchange rates. That's the variance in what people are saying their final price is.

The info about the paint and diecast matches what was shown in the video posted here by MachineHeart88 (aside from the voice gimmick info), so you can consider that true.

BOOOOO!   to the return of the coins. I was hoping to build up an army of slightly rubbish looking die cast Autobots and Decepticons.

I suspect the figures cost far too much to make compared to the coins. There was a lot of weight in the die cast Magnus.

 

Guys, sorry that I can't share the photos as of now, but from what he showed me is really shining or silvery grey. He said the the in hand product's color is much better. He also mentioned that the ratchets and joints are quite solid, regular release will come with coin. No light gimmick for sure. To his opinion, this is the best MP he has been handling so far, and beats all the 3P items out.

 

As for the sound gimmick, there are two buttons found on scope -- one of them is pressed for audio; another red translucent button is used for switching sound effect. Besides of some solo Japanese dubbings (one of them is Megatron's laughing dubbing, I can't understand Japanese, but they all sound good to me), u can switch to blasting sound effect or transforming sound effect.

 

Sorry that's incorrect. The price on AmazonJP goes up and down all the time. You only get the lowest price that the figure drops to from the time AFTER your preorder. If you look on the "your orders" page on AmazonJP, it'll tell you the lowest price you yourself will be paying for your order. If AmazonJP's price drops again after your preorder, it'll change on the "your orders" page, and it will lock in the lowest price the figure drops to after your preorder.

missed this. From Amazon "between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date". Did this change at some point? I could have sworn when the initially started the pre-order guarantee a while back that I had read they gave you the lowest price while it was in the pre-order phase.

I preordered Megatron when he first went up and was at full regular price.

When he went down the first time, my order adjusted itself to that price.

When he went down again, my order price went down again.

When he went UP in price, my order remained at the last (lowest) price.

So right now, he's still locked in at 15,685 yen.
