no mp-27 will have that weird sticker head
MP-29 in a colour that doesn't blend in with my daughter's Frozen LEGO set. ;-)
Ratchet, Ironhide, and Inferno legs that don't look like Duplo Legos...
Yeah, I remember.
Seeing it again, I feel really happy that I am not buying this Megatron, because a Megatron toy that is not silver is .. well, it's not for me.
The moment I can buy it in silver like that, I'll throw my money down. Till then, hard pass. Total dealbreaker.
Gimme gimme gimme
Why can't it be this color? Damn that is sexy.
With Sovereign on his way to my doorstep, I can't wait to have this Megatron.
Who should lead my Mp display?
Megatron. And then after Unicron appears, Galvatron.
When I saw this figure my first thought was "I MUST have it". A great Megatron is a must in my collection and for me the real Megatron is a gun. Then I saw the price...
I just want Megatron in show-accurate colours - you know, silver.
Translated from the "Transformers Generations 2017 Vol. 1's Special Message From Artist" section:
For those that don't know, Ōshima Yūki is also the designer for the robot mode of Megatron.
I read he designed the articulation joint placements.
Not only that
Didn't he design the entire figure? Transformation sequence as well.
I thought Kobayashi designed this. The drawings in the Generations book did look a little bit like a different style than his usual drawings.
Is he the one that designed the vehicle mode for MP-28 from which Miyake worked?
Official figures are always designed by a team, not one individual.
However Kobayashi is known as one of the lead designers.
Remember the issue with silver paint though? No one else have paint chips on Ironhide's thighs or pelvis? I don't want a whole Megatron doing that.
That's why MP-10's legs weren't painted silver, because the paint would chip during transformation. Ironhide just about gets away with it because his legs aren't supposed to touch anything for transformation.
How did MP-5 overcome it? Did he have a lot of paint chips?
I don't mind paint chips. Those are battle damage.
Thanks, I'm aware that. Look up my posts from about two years ago you can see that I was the one doing research into old interviews and actually telling other people that, after all the dumbass fandom backlash when it was announced that Kobayashi had replaced Hasui.
ok, to clarify, helped in designing
that's what I tell myself for Ironhide's chrome wear. Suits an old-timer like him!
Just looked it up, apparently Hot Rod's vehicle mode was designed by Yuya Onishi.
Interesting that they have artists working on the line like that. Very cool collaborative work.
