Actually, wouldn't a toy-accurate MP Megatron be grey and have blue inner legs? I'd imagine it'd have the sword and gun weapons and be called Megaplex but it was only the Hasbro version of the original toy that had the silver/red colourscheme.

 

I Just want an MP Megatron without the silver scratch card paint. It's an interesting idea but I could do without it, why TT want us to scratch it off I have no idea? As yet I've found nothing interesting underneath it.

 

Good for the MP36 reissue! I skipped the 1st release since most people were complaining about the paint flake. Hopefully the reissue is much better, will wait and see. Eventually, he'll be in my collection.

As for MP22, I got 2 already (one in display and the other as AFA). Eventually I'll be looking for a 3rd one just to play around or to display him in alt.mode...just a matter of time. If this 2nd reissue comes with the Delta Magnus visor faceplates, I'll gladly get one in a heartbeat, lol.

 

Just pre ordered Mp 36 from AE. I already have Sunstreaker and Sideswipe pre ordered from there so had to go AE. This will be my first Megatron figure, I can't wait. I already have Ultra Magnus so didn't pre order him. Now I just gotta wait until I can locate a MPM Optimus or pre order him from AmiAmi.

 

Are people waiting to see if there is a different paint job before placing a preorder? I'm wondering how long before they sell out... esp AE. Think I can wait a week?

 

Same here, except I want to just finish S1.

 

The shipping on the larger MPs is killer but still beats the domestic shops. When you buy two Megatrons, the shipping averages out to around $35 each at AE.

I usually make up alot of the difference with POL at BBTS but Megatron is always a special case where I can't get an unopened one from them.

 

I think the reissue Megatron will just have better paint applied. And the issue with the silencer scratching the gun barrel fixed. No toy colored Megatron yet.

My Magnus has that issue of turning and rubbing the trailer. So they will have that fixed on this next coming reissue. So I will be getting another Megatron and Magnus.

 

The only thing they could do to avoid the majority of paint wear on megs is to avoid painting the connecting joints on the pieces.

The actual surface paint really doesn't touch anything to come off.

 

if it's still gonna be made in vietnam, im worried about the QC....

Might have to bite on this. Mine had a shoulder flap that cracked around the pin on the first or second transformation. It still hasn't broken through after a dozen more transformations or more, but it still feels like a matter of time and its existence bugs me. Plus that piece is still scary tight when going robot to gun. I was part of a group buy from AE and sending it back wasn't really an option.

Too bad, as my paint has held up pretty well. Scuffing on the barrel is nearly nonexistent despite lots of use. He does have the ding in the shoulder paint from that protruding pun on his butt, but it's not too bad.

I ordered MP Megs from HLJ the first time around. When I opened him, the orange plug in the figure's gun barrel on mine just fell out. No glue used at all. However, the orange plug in the barrel extension was stuck in there and still won't budge. It annoys me that the extension plug won't come out, but at least my Megs figure looks clean and menacing in my display, which was the priority. YMMV.

Were there any issues with ordering this in Australia last run? I still remember stories about the original MP Megs being treated like an actual gun by customs...

 

Ultra Magnus may be more reasonable ordering from overseas. Maybe Mandarake?
