We're all going to be regulated to orange tips.
Why is it so difficult to send it to the U.S in robot mode?
Doesn't matter AFAIK; if it has a gun mode, it has to be orange tipped. Sucks, but there it is.
As for diecast: SWEET.
This is not ak ids toy. Why the hell does it need an orange tip? You can buy real guns, why not this gun? It's not like we will all run out and point it at the cops.
Well, from what I hear Canada doesn't have those laws.
According to the guy who runs the nearby comic/collectible shop, it won't be a problem to get it without the orange tip.
I wonder if this'll be the weighty die cast of Masterpeice Prime or the almost non existant Die Cast of MP Starscream.
Thanks buddy. I guess that it is un-avoidable. I just hope that the U.S retailers will not ruin the toy while they are stuffing the barrel with those damned orange caps. I am talking about stress marks and cracked barrel.
Under no circumstances will I be purchasing an orange-tipped Megatron. Whether that means purchasing directly from Japan or from Canada, fine.
What ams said.
True, but Americans shouldn't start to think that it'll be easier to get from us than from anywhere else in the world. We still have to ship & declare our goods through U.S. Customs like anyone else, and if they catch what they deem to be an unlawful gun replica that doesn't adhere to their wonky rules at the border, it can bite both the shipper AND receiver in the ass.
And it's completely irrelevant if Meg's comes packaged in bot mode or gun mode when the box itself will clearly have a picture of a huge realistic gun printed on it. Customs' agents might realize it's just a toy robot, and probably even want one themselves (hehe), but that doesn't mean they can or will bend the rules, especially not with the way their ass backwards gov't dictates things now.
I'll pay more to ship from those countries if I have to. Absolutely NO ORANGE TIP for me!
Orange tipped or not, I WILL purchase this item!
Anyone, know an online Canadian retailer (if Canada doesn't have a similar law)?
Also, wouldn't Canadian retailers have to make the toy US compliant when they shipped it to the US?
-I have no answers; just questions.
Well I'm glad he will be die-cast but I'm disappointed that it seems like it will be difficult to get one without an orange tip. If that is the case I probably won't purchase one, unless I see that the tip is either easily removable or isn't that fugly. I'm going to just wait and see how it all goes.
Diecast, awesome. Orange Cap, don't care! This figure keeps getting awesomer to the x-treme!
Scroll up and read what I just posted 2 minutes ago.
responsability always falls on the recipient.
Seriously, nothing a little paint can't fix.
Yeah! Why cant they just package it in robot mode?
