Everytime I see that custom I shed a few tears. It's beautiful. I'd absoluely LOVE to do something like that. But I have neither the skill, nor the patience to accomplish that, much less the money o afford the materials!
That one is pretty cool, too. Very nice in fact. But I still like the one in the first post more for some reason. Seems more "accurate" I guess.
Love them both. the one on Macross world is closer to the original. I'm surprised that neither reversed the red and black stripes on the chest.
Nah, Not like that. The money it cost for it is one problem.I would not want to buy the armour ect.Personally I would just mod a G1 Jet Fire. You can get them pretty cheap with yellowing ect.Plus the size would scale pretty close.Just add some paint, head mod,and some articulation and Bam!Automatic MP
My favorite one by far. http://www.tfmaster.com/gallery_kb0147.php http://www.tfmaster.com/gallery_kb0148.php
Meh, I wouldn't want that mold as a MP jetfire. Yamato 1/48 Valks are super fragile. Seeing how people really didnt like the frailness of the MP starscream, The lack of playability coupled with a pricetag of 230-250 (valk + armor) would not go over too well
I have seen a bunch of them. Even ones down to the wings and chest stripes reversed. Someone sold one on ebay not too long ago that was damn perfect. My VF-1S has been disassembled for months awaiting its turn. Too busy doing other things right now.
Nice one (HUGE) http://forums.tformers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=69909&hl=Jetfire heres some more MP Versions: Bruticus Menasor
They really aren't all that fragile. For some reason people really like perpetuating this. Some of the very first ones had some QC issues, but those have been long since cleared up. I would go as far as saying that both MP Megs and Screamer are more fragile than a 1/48.
Agreed completely. I have 5 1/48's and I never even came close to breaking them. If you follow the directions carefully, there should never be any problems. Masterpiece Megatron falls apart just looking at him the wrong way.
I don't like perptuating anything, I own several of them, and those things ARE fragile, but I guess one man's fragile is another's sturdy...I knew I would ruffle few feathers with that comment, as some people swear by yamato for some reason. They are nice display pieces, but have near zero playability, I transformed one of them a total of twice, and now the metal pin by the torso is super loose, I would consider MP meg and SS WAAAY more sturdy than a yamato valk. People that complained about those two would likely have a coronary with a yamato valk, especially given that valks cost about 150-200 even without fastpacks
