That's pretty cool. Though I believe the nosecone/canopy have the color masking just a little bit wrong. It doesn't look hugely out of place, but there was more white on top and more red on the bottom there.

Nevertheless, awesome is still awesome. Correct or not.

I've thought of doing the same exact thing. Now I'm think I should!

    Great piece!

Did they repaint a Robotech Masterpiece for this?

While I love JetFire, that's just sacrelige to 'ruin' (term used loosely) a masterpiece Valkyrie!

No, they repainted a 1/48 scale Yamato Valk (which is even more expensive than a Robotech Masterpiece).

They should do a real release, I would buy it. Or MP-07 could be a borrowed-from-Bandai Jetfire.

That is so beautiful. I saw a couple others like this at Macross World... I'd love a 1/48 MP Jetfire, but I could never bring myself to take the risk with such expensive figures!

I've always had a great, well in my opinion, idea for a MP Jetfire. Basically take the Classics mold, make him as big as MP Prime, fix his transformation a little to make him better, add more detail to him, possibly add diecast to him, give him a really nice paintjob, give him some cool accesories, package him nicely, and sell him as MP Jetfire. Then they could make an accesory pack with a different backpack for him to make him look more like Skyfire. Also, make sure to release him in the US, that's the only way that I would be able to get one, lol. I personally think that would be an awesome idea, though I could be the only one that would like it, lol.

Very nice. I've got a VF-1J Stealt in the Yamato 1/48 scale and have always wanted to get ahold of a VF-1S Hikaru type (starts at about the right colors) to do this with. However, I would hate to take such a risk with a figure that costs $150 and upwards... not to mention the Yamato Super & Strike parts are sold seperatly for about another $75... that's a lot of money to be bashing into something different. :lol

Never-the-less... this guy did an amazing job! Kudos! :thumb

Damn I should really do one of these, that's the second one of these I've seen lately. I don't care about the price, besides sure the yamato is about $200, but then the custom MP Jetfire would be worth $400 easy.

Check this one out at Tfans, awesome.
