Just got done taking photos of this guy this morning. Nothing much to say other than echo what so many others have said about this guy, simply awesome!

One of you will be suprised to find this guy under your xmas tree! I won't name names, so don't bother :D

Now I just need to package this guy back up and ship him off first thing in the morning! Hopefully it'll make it's destination before xmas!

    Thanks!

Heh! My eyes still hurt from painting the details. Painting this guy is like painting on a disco ball.

    Thanks!

Oh man, if you've been on the fence about this figure, don't wait any longer.... You'll be 110% happy with this figure.

    Thanks for the support pare!

    Pimped. Out.

This may sound like a dumb question, but did you have to take apart each piece in order to do the chroming? Because if you did, man, that's a lot of work!

    Sorry, but LOL

That is one nice ass Christmas present. No... Masterpiece Grimlock as it was would be a nice ass Christmas present. I think I'd have to pay someone back some amount of money for getting me a present like that. That's like- over the top, "no, you really shouldn't have but God damn I love it" kind of Christmas present.

Not a dumb question at all..
Many people think vacuum metalizing is a quick and easy process. Truth is, the ENTIRE figure must be taken apart down to the component level to ensure you get an even coat of chrome on all surfaces. The parts also need to be washed and individually wired to a mounting rack before it gets placed into the vacuum chamber. Vacuum metalizing a figure can take a good amount of time to complete especially when you factor in the disassembly, paint and reassembly processes. This, if you noticed, is why I changed my custom catagory from minor/repaint to heavy/scratch.

Hope this gives you a better perspective on my process.

No doubt man.. I'm sure whomever receives this gift will be very excited. Who knows... maybe it's you ;)

Wow..Great work. How much does it cost to get something partially done in chrome by you? If you do that sort of thing for people..
