I had a lot of fun painting the last one, so I decided to do another, but this time a little different. I went for a more worn and weathered look, thought I stayed away from battle damage since I always figured Grimlock was the one dishing out the damage. I started with an Ultra Flat Black Krylon Fusion base coat, over the entire figure. All of the chrome pieces were sanded to give the black a tooth to grab on to. Then I did a light drybrush of blue, followed by a special metallic mix that I made from Testors Model Master enamels. Then I airbrushed Kustom Kolor Millitary Gray to shade in the panels, in a very light and thin coat. Afterwards, all details were hand painted with MM enamels, followed by a final coating of Dullcote lacquer. Aside from the eyes, every surface of this guy was completely painted. The little screw covers were a pain to remove safely, but worth the effort in my opinion. Comments and criticisms welcome, thanks for looking.
