I just got an email from eBay seller mewsugoi1 telling me he got a Masterpiece Grimlock prototype for sale (no link since he's not selling it on eBay, plus this is not the eBay forum  ), some pictures were attached to his email and since I think this is something new, here they are.

 

Can't decide if I like the colours. I know Grimlock wasn't yellow and black in G2 but it looks more of that style to me.
Either way, if that's legit it is very interesting.

I'm not digging those colors my self. I think he should be a nice dark green, more natural dino-color. If that is prototype, I was expecting more of a pure white color, or something more prototype-like.

 

I think this is more of a "test-shot" type prototype in which they run the mold through the factory a few times and work out any defects that it may have. Sometimes test shots have wonky colors like this one.

That would make sense as the bright colors help show the flaws better. And if he was a Halloween edition, wouldn't he be orange and black?

interesting but i know one thing is for sure if this is legit and goes on ebay the price is gonna get crazy high very quickly.

 

For some reason, my monitor is showing him as orange-ish  . Time to adjust my color settings.
