Okay guys, so are there any problems with any pieces breaking easily or, anything that would be a concern. I want to know if hes worth shelling out 70 bucks, because thats a lot of money and i hope he worth the price.

i was on the fence as im not a big g1 person, however when the tru preorder was up i jumped on it after seeing all the love for the takara version adn looking at its price tag i knew it had to be a great toy.
well i have it now and to be honest i love it so much i wish i had two...one for alt mode and one for bot mode. the transformation isnt too difficult which makes it fun to transform back and forth......it feels really solid and stands easily in both modes...i love the crown and sword more than the gun, (which wfc prime is currently holding)
the only complaint i have is he feels a little loose in the torso area but i mean if your not of the floor going pew pew...and having wars i don't think you will have an issue. :)
if you need pics ive taken alot so far. and will take more for ya if ya want :)

get it. if you don't like ..you can blame me :)

I can't speak for everyone but I was disappointed with the floppiness (not the joints, the way the figure doesn't lock in as securely in robot mode) and the arm gimmick sacrificing one of the hand's articulation. A nitpick would be that I would have loved if the claws could have fold back into is arm to get them out of the way. His alt mode is quite awesome though and I would love get the accessories of the Japanese release.

I might get rid of mine in the future. I'm not sure if I like him as much as I thought I would.

It honestly depends on how you like your transformers to be designed. if your a poseability fan. if your a G-1 fan,if your a grimlock fan.

Personally I love the season 3 funny grimlock in dino mode. I kinda consider the robot mode as void of persona because cartoon grimlock did all his persona thru his dino mode. needless to say,I display my MP Grimlock only in dino mode. I highly doubt he'll ever be displayed in robot mode.

I'm a huge fan of extremly poseable transformers. I'm also a fan of all the updated homage molds based off G-1 brick-formers.

Since I am a adult TF Fan. the master piece Transformers seem catered towards the older age group. I love having the higher sculpt, super toy engineering & so forth.

So yeah,to me those master piece transformers are worth every penny. I'd rather pay high amounts for a singular perfection transformers toy. than pay $100 bucks for 12 awful transformers toys. I prefer quality over quanity.

I wasn't a fan at all of the animated toys nor animated cartoon series. mainly because they were catered towards much younger kids than previous TF toy lines/cartoons were. I hated the silly kiddie friendly faces on some of the toys. I wasn't a fan of some of the simplified sculpts/desigs that the animated
    toy line had.

My Takara one is awesome, but I have no idea how the Hasbro one is quality wise. I just know mine has sharper teeth and claws. :)

    $70 not a lot of money, $140 is. ;)

MP Grimlock in general is a terrific figure regardless of the Takara or Hasbro (I own both). So at only $70 you're getting a grrrrrreat toy at a bargain!

I've owned the Takara version from day 1, and I can say with no doubts that he is an absolute bargain for $70. Its like getting the best transformer of all time (IMO) for 1/2 price.
