    WORK IN PROCCESS!!

A G1 Fortress Maximus that will serve in my classics collection so it'll have hopefully many NEW/NEXT-gen goodies and hopefully get MAD amounts of articulation :D

Well I'm of to a very small start... well what small on this figure anyways :)
So far I have 30-40% (skeleton)frame of the right hand!
This project will feature many of my first scratchbuild..
    Yes I'm a fool, I thought lets start with a bang ;)

    -MORE INFO SOON-

    TODO:
    Fully articulated hands
Arms articulation (as much as possible)
Shoulders articulation (will research the figure when it arrives)
Legs articulation (as much as possible, will take some trial and error)
Feets articulation (this will be ultra heavy, not sure if it'll work!)
Head articulation (Downsize Cerebros to make more room?? Scratch)
Both Headmaster figure will get as much treatment as I can give them!
Added soundchips @ multiple locations (need more info on these!)
    Adding many lights (eyes/weapons/city-windows/city-misc)
Add motorized parts (radar dish/gattling guns?)

    DONE:
    Hands= Left 0% / Right 70%

    UPDATE1:
    Right hand now 70-80%!

    UPDATE1B:
Very small update, I had some time to kill and made 2 different finger versions...
which I may or may not use ;)  but who know, there's always some use for them like make the tail of my future Grand Trypticon build!

    UPDATE1C:
micro-update made a drawing of a hand design I'm gonna try in different sizes :)

I'm guessing the ad you put up for a cheap Fort/Brave/Grand Max junker to bash worked? You must have a lot of time on your hands with all these WIP's. I can't wait to see what you knock out. There must be a lot of pressure what with Payton having knocked out his a while back. I'm sure yours will shock us just as much, but i'm interested to see which route you go with this one. :)

I recommend a TON of styrene work on the hand. Your normal style of customizing will not look good on a G1 figure. Especially a Maximus. In my opinion of course.

Lose the "technic" look and go more with a finished and paneled look. You'll have something great on your hands.

I also recommend you get ahold of Darkov for cheap repro parts. His casting are very good. He actually has molds for Cog as well. Might be fun to have an articulated Cog to go with your "Classics" styled Max.

I am assuming you got a very yellowed FM or a BM. That being said, Do you intend to paint it when finished? I notice you tend to stay away from painting. Though the painting you have done looks quite good.

Hope to see great things on this. :D

Well it as far as I know the yellowing score from 1-10 would be a 2or3 so I might just leave it as is depending how I feel... but since the addition of articulation it will require to paint anyway, so this one will prolly get paint!

Heheh thnx ... will prolly see you drop by when there's new updates ;)

extended with fingers forward I'd say +2/3 of Unicron hand and that's not even with a finished wrist so 2times is highly plausible :D  thnx

Well they're a pain in the ass to make but since they can be taken apart or at least when I built the left hand a friend of mine is experimenting with casting as we speak, so If it's not that hard and when we make the first then I can calculate a price... but to be honest if I'm not mistake the formula of making these yourself is on the screen... if you need tips yust ask!

Unless I accidentally destroy it beyond repair... it'll get done ;)  thnx

hey, g60force, you might already know this, but you can order seperate joints and hinges from a site called lossestenen.nl, you might want to think about using the knee joints of the lego atat model for the arms, because they can support a lot of weight,

I am really interrested in the end result
