Not that I haven't budgeted for it, but between some random G1 pickups and MP Artfire coming this month, I don't mind this delay at all. Actually mentioned that in the Artfire thread the other day.

Too many delays in a line that is already very dragged out. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't wait to open the other 2.

I thank heavens for the day I was finally able to say no more to HT collecting. It was hard, sold everything, and I'm now able to focus on only one thing, TF's.

HT does incredible stuff, but they are just too overpriced now.

The extent of my HT collecting was with only 4 figs- Nolan's Batman stuff. I too was relieved when I was able to take a step back and evaluate my collecting habits. I'm in the process of selling them now.

Yeah HT collectors in my mind are on a totally different level of collecting. The price and space they need to have those figures...

You'd be surprised though. Most of them keep stuff inside their boxes because they don't have the space. They buy stuff they don't even like most of the time. I know, because I was that way.

And at $300 a pop, no wonder most are so into CC debt as Sideshow does their "payment plans" and collectors ACTUALLY think they are paying less money. It's a vicious circle, that HT collecting. I'm glad I'm done.

@Deshawn Are there any golden rules to HT collecting?

:lol  I got Hot Toys Yoda from Sideshow Collectables a few days ago.

I don't think it's that bad. I run a pretty tight ship. Absolutely nothing but official Takara Tomy MP's and Hot Toys. I find the slow release schedule by both companies to be easily affordable.

What is the reason for the delay?

Could it seriously be QC issues. Dirge was shown almost 10 months ago by that person who was taking it out from the glass display if you remember. Never mind, TTS is in 2 weeks.

IDK man, First it was only 1989 Batman stuff, having that 1989 Batmobile in 1/6 was something else! But then I realized I live in a condo, There's no way I can display that the way it was meant to be displayed. Then TDK stuff came out, vehicles, etc. Then Robocop, ED - 209, the whole Enchilada, then the usual "I just want one Iron Man" and all downhill from there. I was looking at almost 20K worth of product, most of it in boxes. I felt sick.

If you can manage it, more power to you my man! They sure are amazing looking figures, but they get expensive fast, more so than TF collecting IMO.

How many do you have and what lines are your favorite ones?
