is there a size chart for beast wars?

i know how they were extremely small compared to g1, but o wonder the size beteween each other....

Think Optimus was smaller then Megatron, dinobot and even rhinox...

 

Honestly, the G1 bad guys will get done. Megatron is a tricky one because of his alt mode and the fact a lot of people will probably be "done" with the line when he comes out. Thrust and Dirge will likely be exclusives like Ramjet. Reflector and the Insecticons will definitely come at some point, insects are an easy sell in Japan and a three-pack for Reflector would be easy enough. I don't anticipate them skipping out on any major characters until perhaps later on with the post-Movie stuff.

Also, uhm. 20th anniversary of Beast Wars. It's kind of a thing. It would be a little disappointing if after all the hype Takara did just one new mold and recolored three others as con exclusives. Hasbro made it clear they don't care, pretty much, and I can't necessarily blame them but it's not like there's a shortage of G1 good/bad figures. In the MP line, we've had a good assortment of bad guys from G1 too. Some are exclusive, sure, but... I've literally got a shelf full.

 

No offense, but that sounds like a stupid reason to stop collecting MPs. If they make an MP character you don't want or like, just don't buy it. I didn't feel the need to buy Ramjet, and yet I keep collecting MPs just fine.

And I don't get your argument about Road Rage from Tracks. What exactly is the problem there? As for Tigatron, why don't you just wait and see what Takara does? They are slavishly devoted to toon accuracy and scale. That means that they probably won't reuse Cheetor's mold.

 

Wake me when they have a MP BW Dinobot.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that it was an argument. I was just explaining why I don't collect MPs any more, and that I have sufficient reasoning to abstain from this release as well. Am I supposed to answer to anyone about it...? D=

I'm not convinced. Mainly because that the Tracks/Road Rage mold demonstrates otherwise. That is, assuming that this counts, of course. Can't see why it wouldn't though, as that seems to me to be as close as Takara has to how RR looks in-fiction.

 

I'm not sure Cheetor before Megatron makes sense either.

 

That's why 3rd party companies have made so much money. They have done MP Reflector, Bombshell, Kickback, Shrapnel, Astrotrain, Megatron (MP 10 size), Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus, Octane, and a Blitzwing is being worked on now. Plus Shockwave was done years prior to the official version. I think one group is working on MP Constructicons too.

So G1 fans have options when Takara does not do something they want.

There's no argument. I simply didn't understand what the problem was with Road Rage reusing Track's mold, or why you felt it was such a problem that you decided to stop collecting MPs. But obviously that's not my problem, it's yours.

I'm not sure what Tracks/Road Rage has to do with Cheetor/Tigatron. Road Rage wasn't even in the G1 cartoon (and even if she was, she's the exact same car as Tracks, so again, what's the problem here?), while it was established in the BW cartoon that Tigatron was larger and a completely different animal than Cheetor was.

Such a great design and character, and he's NEVER had a good figure. If any BW deserves an MP, it's him.

I wouldn't say it's a "problem", really. If anything, it'll sure save me a lot of cash! =p

Optimus Prime's cab was the same model as Ultra Magnus' cab, but in the MP line, they're completely different molds. But when Tracks and Road Rage came along, that wasn't the case.

The problem is that this line supposed to be filled with "masterpieces", and the word "masterpiece" has implications that I feel that this level of mold reuse just doesn't justify. And this is coming from a collector who owns every version of the CW Dead End mold, sans Lightspeed and Dustup(for now >:3)


But hey, I can wait till an MP Tigatron is revealed. That earlier post was just my initial "I CAN'T WAIT TO KNOW EVERYTHING FOR THE WHOLE DEAL TO RAGE" post. =p

 

Yes! Although I would have preferred Dinobot, I'll take any MP BW. I hope they keep pumping them out. Didn't think they would give us another one.
