Just curious, which bots were you having trouble with the sliding knees? I do agree the hands are a poor design though, both in securing in place as well as holding their weapons.

The beetle dude and grasshopper have the hands issues.

Correction on the knees... That's just Mr. Beetle. And correction #2. They weren't locked into place. My bad.

Just hand issues on those two. I can't get them to lock into place at all.

Sorry about that. My life is all kinds of fucked up right now. That, plus some new meds I'm on make it hard to focus on some things.

I watched Peaugh's review, you can really hear the disappointment in his voice over this set.

I received Malum Malitia gang over the weekend, and although I have seen some mixed reviews/opinions, I have to say that I'm impressed with this set. My Kickback also doesn't hold his weapon very well, but besides that, I haven't encountered any other issues and personally prefer their (less-bulky) aesthetic when compared to the FT and BC offerings. All things considered, I think they all fit in real well with the other MP's.

Yeah the only one I have issues with the hands is kickback, and that is Regards to tightly holding his weapon. I can settle for secure holding 75% of the time. As far as people complaining about the pull out hands not being secure are not looking in the place I really don't have an issue where they are creeping back into the sleeve . Bombshell and Shrapnel hold there weapons incredibly well.

Picked up a set of these at TFCon this weekend. I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed. The insect legs are a complete pain to get configured into robot mode (too many joints that go too many different ways...) They look nice in robot mode, which is the way I'll be keeping them, but don't think I'll ever transform them again...

If the chrome was white they'd pass as official. I think with a little help these would be the best looking set out of the three but I'm content enough with FT to be bothered to swap. Plus my luck with MMC stuff is dire.

So, after a few days on the shelf, is anyone else feeling like the purple used on these guys is a little too dark? Mine almost look completely black without direct lighting and I wish they'd used a lighter shade...

I like how they fit in- I just think the purple is too dark. Maybe it's just my lighting though.

Peaugh was lukewarm on this set, so anyone want to guess what BSF thinks?

He wants them to burn in hell becuase they arent fanstoys and fanstoys already has insecticons that he sees no point in mmc even having the balls to come out with these since fanstoys.

He wasn't a fan. It's hard to argue with the issues he had, IMO.

The jist they're fine if you're building an army and want some variety in your robot bug swarm but if you're looking for a primary set you may want to keep looking.

After watching a couple videos and owning both the FT and BC sets I agree. Nothing really stood out and a few things seemed finicky.

It's a shame because the sculpt of these figures look really good.

Not trash, but not especially good. No real love or care put into the set. Seems like MMC shoved them out the door to finally be done with them and recoup development costs. Maybe worth the price for troop building, but the Fanstoys bugs blow them away (Which unfortunately is a less than practical recommendation at the moment unless money is no object to you).

Still want to see BSF's take on the BC bugs, since that's the only other set that's available for a reasonable price. I offered mine up, but it seems he's swamped at the moment.

He mentioned the BadCube bugs quite a while ago. He was told that their transformation would piss him off, so he didn't bother. That was back when he was only reviewing toys that he purchased.

Since they have been on the market for a long time, I doubt that he will review them. John Garrienger (sp?) reviewed them and hated the premium set (the die cast pieces weren't toleranced correctly) but had nothing but praises for the Evil Bug Value set.
