I like this a lot. Pretty big for a Third Party figure of his price. I think I might get Skywarp because his colours better emulate that well-dressed Euro-Vampire look you mentioned.

I had no intentions of picking this up before Vangelus' and Peaugh's video reviews. I only want one of these guys and now that you mention it, Skywarp's color scheme would fit the mold really well.

I originally wanted only Skywarp, but I've decided to pick up all 3.

Got mine today. Left side hip armor skirt was partially sheared off right out of the box (never even touched it). I tried to lift it and it immediately broke off. Fuck. Emailed xterry for a replacement. I watched both Peaugh and Vangelus' reviews so I knew it was a problem part

This is what I hate about MMC - their ambition leads to brilliant sculpts and transformations, but they are too ambitious in their tolerances. There is no reason that hip piece needed to be so fiddly fragile.

If I could get a replacement hip flap, I see another problem: pushing the pin out. It's a long pin and SUPER thin.

I had purchased a pin pusher for removing stuff (like the pin on ROTF Leader Prime to install the savio-prime mod) but this one is maybe 1/2 or 1/3 the diameter!

Damn MMC for their ridiculously narrow tolerances.

Which part broke? sounds like it was the actual part that remains on the hip?

The flap is fine, it's the hinge where the pin runs through that sheared right off. Basically I have a flap, and the rest of the hinge is still wrapped around the pin.

Cool. I'm going to give mine a good going over when I get home later to try and figure out the easiest way to fix your issue.

Not super-helpful but: If it's one of the two front-skirts, MMC told me they intend to strengthen those bits to be way less risky on the coloured versions of the mold.

Hope you can figure out a way to repair it on your Awakening dude though. :(

Here are photos of the hip flap (hinge that sheared apart) and the hip area minus that armor flap.

Oh, hmmmm. For some reason I was thinking it was one of the side flaps that become the swords that had sheared for some reason. Let me see if I can't figure something out, but yeah, a replacement part is definitely needed.

Just got word they'll send me a new one after I mail mine back in, so i'll just do that.

Would be a PITA to replace that one part given the delicate nature of that area and how everything is connect with no obvious screw holes

Yeah, that's pretty much the conclusion I was coming to, but wanted to see if maybe you could replace JUST the hip assembly instead of a whole figure. Sorry to hear about the problem, it's a pretty fun figure when it's missing any QC errors.
