My favourite toy and the best i have.
I love carnifex as he is, because i was always a fan of idw overlord, not the g1 overlord(who in my opinion, isnt an attractive personality like the bearer of the sexy lips). I think white chest plates look awkward anw, so i dont share the hype for the upgrade set, but i totally understand why G1 fans demand the G1 accuracy. Personally, carnifex is perfect enough for me. So knowing what the intention of the figure was, i dont see why we should hate on mmc for this . They wouldnt want to unnecessarily increase carnifex's price now, would they? I got mine at 230sgd.. thats hardcore, in my opinion
Here are some pics of Carnifex sporting the Continuum add-on pack stuff:
All the best
Sixo has taught you color filters and saturation well!
Btw, has anyone else tried modifying the heads to combine the Continuum front half G1 face with the taller antennae of the original head? I did it but it required shaving down a ridge where the two halves meet since the Continuum head lacks that bit so the halves don't seal together without filing it down. Also had to shave one peg a bit too. I like the result though.
Actually I don't use filters, I haven't got any! The colours here have been achieved using vibrance, contrast and clarity sliders on Adobe Lightroom. The white balance is set to 4282 (approx) in LR as it seems to be the closest to what my eyes saw in the light tent. If something looks inaccurate, it's my lack of experience with achieving consistency throughout a photo set with the LR settings and sliders.
I've also carried out noise reduction, sharpening, white and black clipping and vignetting in LR for these shots.
The shots where I play with the saturation slider are the ones with toys having large swathes of red, I seem to get over saturated images with those and have to tone them down in LR.

Thanks for the info, that's appreciated. I was probably using the wrong words to describe the Sixo effect of presenting a figure even better than it would be in-hand. I think those shots prove you've arrived at that level now
That's really kind of you, mate! I'm not quite at Sixo's level, though
All the best
Mine is finally ready to ship in my POL, I am just waiting for the continuum set to be in stock at BBTS, and he will be on his way.
tonight i felt the need to make something and this happened
Looks awesome. Where did you get that chair from and how are you mounting the shield on his back!
made it from styrofoam and ductape pegged the shield into a slit in the seat
needed to be shot properly
Anyone having problems getting Mega (white figure) to stay in his chest. Giga seems to hold fine.
I had a similar issue, one stayed in and one was loose. Below is what I was told. Didn't get a chance to try it yet.
I feel like this is a very, very stupid question.
How do you remove Carnifex's head? I want to replace the smiling head with the grinning one-eyed head. It looks like all that keeps the head on is a ball joint. It looks like all I need to do is pull really hard. But I am pulling really hard, and I'm afraid to pull harder. I remember MMC's Trailbreaker and Mirage, which needed a screwdriver to disassemble the head.
What's the correct procedure?
best take a screwdriver to it, fun fact you can swap out the eyes too so can have the bigger grin with no damage
I have everything lined up and pushed them in firmly. It seems like the white figures head is just slightly too small to really friction hold.
Precision + head screwdriver is all you need. can't take the head off until you loosen it at the back.
