Doing both really only helps if e-mail actually fixes some of the problems that fax-only causes. While some people assert that this would indeed be the case, I simply don't think so. I think that, without some serious money spent on infrastructure, adding e-mail would create far more trouble than it solves. And really, I have no desire to see threads filled with every person angered by an e-mail snafu added to those who are unhappy with the fax system.

No matter who's fault this is, the fact remains that the guy waited too long to send in his order. It's ALWAYS been the case that the convention organizers have encouraged people not to wait just in case certain perks sold out. The fact that it actually happened this time doesn't mean that he didn't take his chances by waiting so long.
