New third party review now online -- Review – Master Shooter Mega-Gun | BattleGrip -- but I can save everyone some reading by saying: Skip this toy.
That's exactly how I thought I felt until I held the two toys together. But yeah, it's definitely subjective. I suspect that a lot of G1 Targetmaster fans would like this design.
I like both toys. Mega-Gun is a Targetmaster, while Megashoton is a Legends toy. Depending on the size of the toy holding him, I would want either one. Mega-Gun looks better with a Deluxe. Megashoton is for bigger toys. I added a link to your review to the Wikialpha page for Mega-Gun. I bought one expecting it to be just like a G1 targetmaster, and it did not dissappoint. The plastic quality is excellent and I thought the price was perfectly reasonable.
I agree with this. It's not the most amazing thing ever, but it was under $20 and it was a cute and decent little fig. I don't regret buying it...
Emulating the G1 Targetmasters was exactly what MSC was aiming for with this. This is definitely meant to hit home for a different market segment than Megashoton and his ilk.
