I think the look of this MasterMade Scorponok is too stylized. He looks like a skinny robot with diecast armor parts attached. Seems like different designer than their Metroplex and Trypticon. Tl;dr not g1 enough for me

While I can't help you with where to buy, I've paid full price for all three and don't regret it. They have a great heft to them and the quality is superb. Probably the best I've seen on any 3P figure. Titan (Metroplex) took a nosedive off a shelf (stuff fell over, it wasn't his fault) and fell a couple feet. No issues. Plus, for SD figures, they're wildly articulated. So much fun to pose, and their weight means they won't be falling over any time soon. If you're interested and can find them for less than retail, then spring on it. You won't regret it.

Anywho, I'm also curious as to their next releases in terms of big guys. Fort Max is the next logical step, but after that? It'd be sweet if we got a Devastator.

$160 retail? That's actually not too bad, all things considered.

Presumably so he'll be in scale with the inevitable Fortress Maximus they'll make. :D

pricey... at 160 and even 145. 135 for Rex and Apollo was steep, but worth it. ill hit snooze on the early bird, as master made has already reissued a figure based on demand. Need to see reviews. The fall of Fansproject has made me cynical.

Wow! Just wow! I wonder how much of that bad boy is Diecast. MM keeps getting better and better. Also interesting to see is that hes coming with Zarak. If thats the case, who would Galvatron come with? Because Optimus was with Omega, Magnus with Metroplex, and Megs with Trypticon.

Honestly these guys keep getting better and better. I mean yeah, the transformations are a little simplistic but the playability of these things are off the charts. You definitely won't be disappointed with the build quality on these figures either -- there's a lot of high quality plastics, some rubber, nice ratchets, and diecast and even though there's a bit of heft, the balance is always great.

To get you caught up, here are the figures so far (if you haven't had a chance to look into all of them yet):

    Metroplex - Titan
    Trypticon - Diabolus Rex
    Omega Supreme - Apollo
