....I don't really get this qouting thing. But it looks ALOT like Thrust. The main difference is that the back of Thrust becomes the chest of this robot, complete with that round turbine thing. It's a striking similarity. I just wish Dreadwing had larger legs. He's kinda midgety. He also has the slanted-backwards conehead look, but with a flashlight inside as the face. They are decepticlone/drones, so they lack personalized faces.

I think it's incredibly smart of them though. Movie toy lines are death after 6 months. Hasbro has easily a year's worth of merchandise listed here.

 

I had that!   My brother had the silver one in the pics there, while mine was blue. I might still have the 'bot somewhere, providing a leaking battery hasn't destroyed it - it's been 'stored' for about 20 years.

 

Which means Bonecrusher is probably going to have a really minor role in the film.

i jsut meant that Arm Thrust, as a toy not a design, was kind of crummy looking   (Superdeformed Jet mode, awkward bot mode), i'm sure this'll be much better based on the engineering of the other deluxes...

 

Yah, that picture features the Thrust, armored truck, and swindles. The armored truck looks alot like Cybertron Overhaul, but in barricade's colors with a camera/flashlight head.

Those depicted in the art seem to be protoform versions of them, though. The toys are earth forms.

I'd assume we're seeing the whole line of stuff though, and IIRC the first waves are supposed to hit in may, right (or was it june)? so we're probably talking 4-5-maybe-6 waves between theatrical release and DVD release/Christmas.

I definitely see the Armada Thrust resemblance in that drawing. I definitely don't understand why they continued the handless TF trend.

 

Personally, I'm gonna at least wait for the repainted Ratchet. I know his lime green is authentic and all, but you just can't beat a tricked out Red hummer that turns into a kick ass red robot.

ahh ok i see they are just quite similar due to the shoulder-wings and the heads. sooo.... the APC is the dude in the foreground, and everyone else is the drones.

from the description of the comic then, with the raid leader fawning to megatron... the APC guy is shockwave....... man when i saw that APC toy sheckwave would have been the last character i would have expected, i really didnt see that one coming!!!!!

still gutted that the worst piece of **** transformer ever is comingout... arcee... i might have to buy her toy just to BURN HER AT THE STAKE, rubbish looking no personality crap alt mode politically correct piece of ****, if they are bringing out arcee then my guess is that she transforms into that my little pony from the trailer
