    Awesome reviews!

Ultra Megatron is my favourite BW toy. I had the original when I was a kid.

The new head is really kinda fugly to me. Not accurate, infact, the first head was spot-on to the show. (albeit with a different expression and the battle helmet, but the actual head and face were spot-on)

I'm looking into getting the newest reissue with is the mould as is. IMO, way nicer than this as it uses darker purples and more accurate painting method on the dino skin. (instead of just leaving it moulded purple)

FYI, OP OP's "vehicle" modes aren't supposed to be actual vehicles, but additions to the beast mode like with all Transmetals. (albeit, more intricate)

Yeah, I know, but they clearly tried to make them resemble vehicles much more than previous TM figs. The jet, after playing with it some more again, isn't that bad, but that carrier mode is pure ass. It looks better if you pull the cockpit down into it's jet position. I just wish there were some way to collapse the gun assembly a little closer to the main body of the figure in his carrier/jet modes. I still love the figure, just little things that could have been better.

Still, they did their best for what they had at the time.

I, too pull the cockpit forward on my Primal Prime. It fills the hole and makes it more complete and beleivable as an actual vehicle. I would've liked more flush turret, but I don't know how they could do it without comprimising the otehr three modes. But hey, at least the turret is posable.

Still, he (or rather Primal Prime, who I beleive has nicer colours) is one of my favourite figures.

You just brought a flood of memories back. Is it easy to remember how all these transform, or did you spend a few minutes with each one ahead of time to refresh? Awesome reviews as usual.

Heh, I just dove right into the reviews. Most of these have been out and on my shelf since I first got them, so I hadn't lost any of it.

Beast Wars toys were so fun. I remember way back when me and my friends would get all the ones we had (regardless if we had some of the same ones) and battle in the yard. Robots that turn into animals were awesome. And thanks to the use of ball joints many figs often got legs or arms bitten off by Megatron! (I was the only one who had him, so I always led the Predacons) Those were the good times.

    Hah, same memories here man!
We used to do some heavy battleing out here in the yard. It's a miracle all of my old toys are still complete and in great condition.

Anyway, nice reviews Peaugh. Reminds me I still want to pick up a Tigerhawk.

    That makes me sad. :(
The only friends I had when I was little that were into transformers lived miles away and only owned 1 or 2 figures.

Although I guess I have simmilar memories of me and the neighborhood kids getting out my Power Rangers roleplay weapons (of which I had a small arsenal) and having gunfights.

edit: Oh yeah, nice reviews. Although I only watched the videos of the figures I own.

Scour the junkion section here. I got almost all of my BW figs from fine folks here. A few on EBAY and a couple from BBTS and Comic-Con.

    I love my BW toys!

Yeah. I had all the versions of Optimus and Megatron previously, but all the rest I got from guys on here. Tarantulas, Waspinator, and Rattrap all came from JohnoftheDead, the Rampage/Silverbolt Metals set I got from Malach Ra. Oh wait, I DID get Tigerhawk off of ebay.

I got a lot of my BW stuff here too. :D  Maybe 30% of them were from eBay though.

I didn't really get back into TFs until Alternators and Energon, but eBay has brought me all sorts of BW, BM, RiD, and Armada stuff. Couple G1 things too.

Btw, what's the main differences between Hasbro & TakTom's version of Rampage?
