I got Animated Blurr this morning and I've transformed him 90 times since. I swear he fucking mass-shifts on me.

You may want to stop playing with toys for a while there...

Animated Lockdown and Rodimus pull this off, too. Rodimus' alt mode is smaller than the classics version, but his robot mode is massive compared to the classics version.

    Lockdown does it best, though.

Are there any non-animated Mass Shifters?

ROTF Wheelie scared me for a second the first time I transformed him, because I thought he literally thought he shrunk on me. Do not buy and open transformers at 1 AM, especially if you're sleep deprived. Sometimes good engineering will just flat out amaze you.

Scout Hubcab turned into a much larger car than I was expecting.

It struck me as odd at first when Classics Rodimus had a larger vehicle mode than G1, but then a smaller robot.

Got a cheap 2nd MP Grimlock recently and was surprised at how massive the robot seemed when standing next to the dinosaur.

But... he doesn't mass-shift. His legs run the length of the car and fold completely under. And it's not a new thing, G1 Blurr and Kup do the same thing.

Leader Bumblebee. His vehicle mode is barely bigger than his HA version, and yet he's HUGE in robot mode. I actually display him with my Masterpiece figures because of that and the general engineering, as well as how close they got both modes.

Sure you're not talking about Battle Ops 'Bee? I wouldn't ever say Leader be got his robot mode "close".

Nope, DOTM Leader-Class Bumblebee. It's not perfect by any means, but, for all the complexity of a movie figure, it's the first Bumblebee to look "right". All the other ones are recogizable as Bumblebee, but aren't quite right, and the DOTM Deluxe 'Bee is actually the worst offender (It transforms as though the only difference between ROTF and DOTM Bumblebee is the new chestplate, as opposed to thef act that his upper body transforms completely differently). DOTM Bumblebee has entire sections of the front of the car on his shoulders, instead of the car hood alone that previous versions had, and the DOTM toy perfectly captures that.

Human alliance Jazz is one that springs to mind. Him, along with Prime Starscream and many of the animated figures are examples of figures that 'use the whole buffalo', in that there's very little kibble in bot mode and the alt mode is engineered to fold away in a very efficient and compact fashion.
