Just picked it up for 5 bucks. I'll post more about it later. Be warned, this is not an RPG, alas. It's more of an action game, but features a full story and cool graphic novel cinematics, as well as characters that will be featured in the sequel, and some sneak previews of ME2

I kinda wish I had a choice for touch controls, but it's not that annoying to control him with tilt. Least it leaves you open to select your targets. The presentation is nice and the sound effects are cool, especially those from the original game. The stylized graphics are a nice touch too. Can't wait to play more while I'm in line for Transformers tonight.

It's so cool hearing all the little menu sound effects. Of course a part of me still wishes this was a little top down RPG, but at least I'm in the same universe. I like this new character. I think this weekend I am going to spend some time with ME1

Same here. It's strange watching the trailer to ME 2 since I made my Shepard a woman. Named her Alis after the female lead from the original Phantasy Star.

Ok so before anyone buys this, here is the gist of it.

Definitely an action game. I would compare it to Smash TV, but it's a little bit different. You don't have dual stick control (even with a touch screen). You tilt to move Jacob around and he auto aims, but you can also tap on enemies and he will change his focus. On the right you have some abilities, similar to the ones in ME1, (Break shield, nukes, and some Psy ability that freezes your enemy). So far, the game ties these little action sequences with cool still frame story cinematics.

I honestly cant see what they couldn't know their audience and use the same visual style but make the battles almost turn-based, with a bit more exploration, but for what it is, it's pretty fun, and it did make me long to play ME1.

edit: There are "(-->SOME<--)" RPG elements in the game like a galaxy map and different places to go as well as choices on where conversations go. I especially like when you cycle through the dialogue options how Jacob's face changes, heheh. I just wish the framerate was a bit nicer through the battles, because they aren't so bad, but it chugs along and for sprites on a static background there should be no excuse for bad framerate.
