The specs haven't been released yet, but most people are speculating they will be similar to Dragon Age Inquisition or Battlefield 1. I think my PC may meet the minimum specs, as I have an i7 920 (2.6GHz) and a nVIDIA GTX 660Ti. I guess I could OC the processor, as I'm currently running at stock speed. I even bought the CPU cooler to do it. Last graphics-intensive game I played on my PC was Shadow of Mordor, and it played pretty well.

I'm just looking for a reason to upgrade, and I'm wondering if a console would be a better decision.

I just hope I can romance more than one character, I wanna play as a renegade man-whore.

I don't like your chances somehow :p  Ideological nonsense aside, BioWare narrative has always struck me as something meant to be considered a grand epic, and what is a grand epic without the swooning romance of true love triumphing in adversity.

Kind of like Titanic but with spaceships and loads more guns. No epic love ballad though, they might want to look into that.

Well the thing is out in March, which is two months away and Origin itself still has "Coming Soon" in the System Requirements. Which by this point is either them being deliberately cheeky or just plain lazy.

I'm more concerned if it takes save imports from ME1-ME3 because I used the ME3 Happy Ending mod on my version so I got a decent ending and I can't help but think it'll fuck up some flags.

    Hey guys.
I'm sorry if this has been covered before. I confess I didn't search (not here anyway).
I actually contacted EA with this question and have never received a reply.

I have built a pretty good gaming rig but I've never played a game using EA's Origin service.

I want to get Mass Effect Andromeda for my the PC but I'd also like my kids to play it.
However, if I buy it for the PC it's going to be tied to my account, right?
Do you guys know if there is a way they can have multiple saves and have their own characters even if it's within what's considered "My profile"?

    Google+:
Mass Effect 1-3 allow you to have multiple savefiles... so no reason why this game wont have the same feature since it's a RPG that pretty much encourages multiple play through.

I really don't think Andromeda will have us importing saves from the trilogy. There doesn't seem to be any point to it as Andromeda leaves before the events of ME3 even takes places.

So here's the system I ended up building for ME:A:

    Core i7-7700 Kaby Lake
    Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard
    16 GB DDR4 DRAM 3200K (G.Skill Tridentz)
EVGA 1050Ti SC 4GB nvidia video card
    480GB SSD
    1TB HDD
850kw Corsair RMx power supply (overkill, but it was cheaper than the 650 or 750)

Sure, I spent what a nice 4k TV plus xbox one would cost, but this will keep me gaming for the next 5 years or so, plus I can upgrade the video card if needed. I'll probably upgrade my HD monitor to 4k later this year. The components should arrive today, so I'll be able to build it this weekend!

Yeah I think you'll do fine.

I was about to start a new playthrough of Mass Effect but then I remembered that Andromeda won't be utilizing a save import function since it takes place before ME3 :p  Aren't I a silly sausage.

I thought about a new play through, but I wasn't sure if the multiplayer was still active. I used that to boost my galactic readiness before the last battle. Oh well, Andromeda will be out soon! I hope I'm not over-hyping it.

With all dlc you'll blow past the requirements for the best ending even if you never touched multiplayer in 3 btw.

    Gameplay looks mighty smooth.

Had to laugh at them showing the controller buttons to make it look like console gameplay, but the console versions are capped at 30fps and the video is in 60fps.

Loving the options in battle more and more.
Sucks that the console FPS is capped. Gives me another reason not to buy a Pro though.

All very sexy, but I'm not sure I like this three powers at a time thing.

Not a dumb question at all. Not that I've seen but if previous game behaviour is to be repeated your Origin/XBL/PSN will need to authenticate all the DLC each time the game starts for it to be available. Base game should be fine.

Man that combat looks great. I can't wait to see more of it. That last bit has me guessing that equipment weight is going to possibly be an issue with limiting power recharge times like in 3. Though i have to admit that melee weapons are something I wasn't expecting. Hopefully it adds a new dynamic to combat and not just a finishing move or back up weapon or something.
