Anyone read the latest issue if the Illuminati!? In a shocking change of events, it seems that the Beyonder is actually an mutant Inhuman - I kid you not! I now fear the ending of World War Hulk...

    Yeah, Retcons suck.

Also, Reed and Tony have been making $$$ off of the Skrull ship they captured. so it looks as if Reed's been in bed with Stark for a while now.

What is it Marvel has against cosmic beings that they have to downgrade Beyonder? At least make him an Eternal or something more powerful than just an abnormally powered Inhuman!

Mutant Inhuman? So he isn't a Cosmic Cube anymore? Or even "from Beyond"?

I agree with Hiro Prime, retcons suck.

Illuminati seriously strikes me as one big whacky out-of-continuity-fest. I mean passing around the Infinity Gems + Prof. X BRAINSCANNING THE BEYONDER.

I'm still staggered by the recon...I can't help but feel that Marvel has in a way "diluted" the concept of the Beyonder! This is almost on the same level of the Gwen-Norman Osborn affair.

The series is indeed entertaining...but the more I read, the more I find the pro-reg side to be er, "devious" and their intentions questionable.

I agree, I'm not even a comic geek but last I knew The Beyonder was some form of sentient cosmic energy....So I guess now he's like an adult Franklin Richards

And Reed making cash off of a Skrull ship doesn't sound like the Reef Richards I knew. That sounds like something Tony Stark would do. But no Reed, Reed would simply try to incorporate the Skrull tech with his existing tech.

Is there an example of a retcon that ISN'T stupid? :redface2:

It's ludicrous. He's already been retconned once to lower his power level, thus totally invalidating the first 2 Secret Wars. And now this? Absolute bollocks Marvel.

This was the guy Nightcrawler was having a spiritual crisis over and Rachel/Phoenix though the only way to kill him was to wipe out all of creation. Now I wouldn't be surprised if Wolverine could kick his butt. Nice going Marvel - not!

I've said it before, I'll say it again.Marvel doesn't care anymore, all they care about is the next Crossover. Lets see we have world war hulk, followed by x-men endangered, followed by hey we screwed this all up wanda and doctor strange have a big fight and continuity gets changed.

Pictures from upcoming issues don't feel me with hope http://www.newsarama.com/NewJoeFridays/NJF49art/MCPV2001018s.jpg.

    DD's got Double D's now?(yes I know it's some alternate universe"Hopefully" but after the Tony Stark/ultron sex change....I don't know anymore)
I'm running out of Marvel books with good writers fast. They have good writers, but they can't write stories in their own books due to crossovers.

Beyonder? The universe-sized entity of pure energy who wiped out several galaxies and bitch-slapped Galactus?

Are we talking about the same Marvel?
