So, I picked this up. Usually if I get the single issues of stuff I don't get the collected series, but I was so hoping for larger reproductions of all the covers and some juicy little tid-bits from Kirkman deposited within.

PAYOFF! It has ALL the covers at the back of the book, every single one, with the original covers collected to reference, and it includes the Ultimate Fantastic Four zombie covers too. Well worth the extra moolah, and it reads really well in that format.

So, if you see it, you should pick it up, it's really a great read a second, third or fourth time and the little extras are just wonderful.

    BUY! :throw

I was on the fence about buying this; I was pretty much waiting to hear if it included all the covers, so this is awesome. Not like that shitty Phoenix Endsong I shelled about $37 bones for...

I saw it at the comic shop, but passed on it as I have the original issues and I was lookign on the back to see if there was mention of any juicy extras, but alas, nothing.

I may look at it again when I'm there this week though.

I don't know who's writing it, but there WILL be a sequel. there is also an issue 0 of sorts coming out that goes into a bit more detail of what the hell actually happened. Sorry to say, I can't really remember if it's just one issue or a mini-series.

Why do they have to release it in hardback? Now I'm on the fence if I should get it or wait for the softcover.

The SRP is only $20. And cheaper on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Buy.com. I doubt the paperback will be any less that $15.
