Cool. While all the info is old news, the images are new. These new pictures make them look, more like toys, as the official pictures we got from Toy Fair were obviousley photoshoped to make them look better. Still want them though. Here's hoping for some Venom pictures to surface soon.
These have kit bash written all over them, Iron Man could be a good Starscream or another Seeker. Be interesting to see what ppl would since it would be like basically having a new mold.
These vehicle modes are not as realistic as we were led to believe. I'm pretty disappointed. These are just Megamorphs done slightly better. SWTFs at least have good vehicle modes
To be honest, I don't remember hearing anything about the alt-modes being realistic (my memorie's a bit sketchy, so I could have forgotten them saying it at some point). The only line coming out this year that I can remember saying that would be the new Universe line. Even then there are some in that line that have not-so-realistic alt-modes, though those are the repaints in the line, and only part of one of the new molds (Galvatron's gun).
I have to say I am more impressed with these than the Star Wars Transformers, but unlike the SW Transformers not impressed enough to buy any. I'm a sucker for X-Wings and TIE Fighters.
Although, in fairness, the robot modes are generally terrible... From the two shown here, the proportions of the bot modes seem a huge improvement.
I didn't read the Marvel/Transformers crossover but I think it would be better to have different molds for tranformers than to have these Marvel figures transform into bots. I just think its kinda silly.
I'm getting a Frankenstein's Monster vibe from Hulk. Although I want to see Venom more then these two. Since we already saw these at toy fair.
I'm hoping their at least as big as swtfs to justify that price. I agree the proportions are awesome. They look like something I as a Transformer fan might enjoy despite only limited contact with marvel products. Not a fan of the hulks super blocky headsculpt but maybe it will grow on me. He is a robot after all. edit: just noticed someone needs to paint the hulks right thumb. It should be silver.
I'm a little torn. The robot modes appear to suffer from none of the problems that the SWTF suffer from, but they just don't appeal to me enough to buy them.
I can see myself eagerly and happily getting the Hulk. The way his treads transform is pure genious and the fact that he's such a unique tank-former makes him stand out imo. Though he will need a new head, and maybe a new paint job, I think he'd be a great addition to the TF's ranks. Ironman, well, I'm not sold on him as much. Something about him just don't sit right for me.
I think I will have a hard time passing these up for some reason. Hopefully when I hold one in my hands I can make an easier pass.
So the lines offically called crossovers? It's not much of a crossover since it's just marvel characters, but does this mean we'll see other crossover lines in future? Oh, and these looks leaps and bounds better than the SWTFs.
These things look like those Playskool Gobot toys with Marvel characters (i.e. look at Ironman's jet mode). Big and bulky. Could be good for the younger kids like the Gobot ones were. To be better they need the more realistic vehicle modes in order to get my money.
