Really looking forward to checking out Civil War. Not digging the art on Wolverine though.

Amen. I don't really want to see all that shite in Ultimate Spidey; it doesn't need it.

Just sticking to my comfy (and very exciting this month) little X-Men corner. Bru and Carey starting their runs should prove to be interesting, and we'll see if Tieri's fill-in run on New Excalibur can make me actually like the book. If nothing else, he's using Chamber, hopefully for more than the two-panel cameo in that shitty Generation M miniseries.

At this point I've pretty much decided against reading Civil War. Infinite Crisis is enough huge major crossover for awhile. Besides, after having wasted precious minutes of my life on House of M, I have absolutely zero confidence in Marvel to do a decent line-wide crossover.

    THE HALO GRAPHIC NOVEL HC
    Standard Marvel Premiere HC format

Shame this is in Marvel's fake HC format, but with the all-star creators on board, it's going to be hard to resist. I mean f'n Mobieus on Halo. Too awesome.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: RED MENACE VOL. 1 TPB
Collects CAPTAIN AMERICA #15-17 and the CAPTAIN AMERICA 65TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL.
    112 PGS./Rated T+ ...$11.99

A four issue trade, including a special that even die-hard Cap fans thought was balls? And to top it off, the second Winter Soldier TPB hasn't even been solicited yet and they're jumping to this story? I have the first trade, but screw it. I'm dropping this series and waiting for the oversized HC. Should have known.

THE THING: IDOL OF MILLIONS TPB
    Collects THING #1-8.
    144 PGS./Rated T+ ...$15.99

This one I've been waiting to pick up. And from the look of things, it'll collect the whole series.

    SPIDER-GIRL #100
    104 PGS./All Ages ...$3.99

Another great title cancelled because it was too "old school" for Joey's fat ass.

ULTIMATE MARVEL – THE GOLD STANDARD
    BWHAH HAH HAH
Gold standard and a retelling of the clone saga uttered in the same catalog. Oh wait. Ultimate Clone Saga has "witty banter", so it's kewl. I forgot how that worked for a moment. At least Joey has a sense of humor.

ESSENTIAL MARVEL TEAM-UP VOL. 2 TPB
    Collects MARVEL TEAM-UP #25-51 & MARVEL TWO-IN-1 #17. 528 PGS./All Ages ...$16.99

    Awesome!

    Just noticed this:

    MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN #17
    Written by PETER DAVID
    Penciled by MIKE NORTON
    Cover by CAMERON STEWART
Full moon’s out, so guess who’s comin’ to bug our webslinger? WEREWOLF BY NIGHT! And he’s turned Peter Parker’s rival, Flash Thompson, into a werewolf too! Can Spidey find a cure before the sun comes up, or is Flash forever doomed to a life of fleas and howling at the moon?
    32 PGS./All Ages ...$2.99

The real Spidey, by an A-list writer. This, I'll have to check out.

Gee, if Marvel's doing a Civil War #1 Director's Cut, I wonder if I should just wait two months and get that instead since I'd like the bonus material.

That listing for the The Thing TPB scares me. I haven't heard anything about the comic being cancelled, and yet they're putting 8 issues in one book.

And for those of you complaining about the Ultimate Spider-Man Clone Saga, I seriously doubt it's the same thing. Especially considering the fact that Ultimate Ben Reilly is nothing like the real Ben Reilly.

Doesn't need to be like the old Reilly, I'm horrified by the idea of another clone saga. And as I was let down by both the Venom and Carnage arcs; I can't see this being an improvment. Like, before I even noticed the words "Clone Saga" I thought the Scorpion looked like younf Peter.

If the first arc is 8 issues then the first book would have 8 issues. It's happened before. Remember Marvel 1602.

Then was it followed by a 5 issue arc? Anything shorter than 4 issues usually gets put with another arc when it hits TPB.

Nah, it was followed by a more or less stand alone story, then there's a two issue arc that we're in the middle of, and #8 is (I believe) another stand alone story. So, I'm thinking the series is dead, sadly :cry
