The epic question. Who's side are you on?
The side of these two:
DC of course
I'm more of a DC fan, although i do read most titles from both companies
I've tried to get into DC but after crap like Final Crisis, I'm struggling. I just enjoy the Marvel books more.
Mostly marvel stuff as the only DC stuff I read is Batman & Green Lantern.
Honestly, I prefer DC over Marvel, though I really don't have any problem with Marvel. I'm a big Batman fan, yet can't stand Superman, so I'm not a fan of all DC characters.
IDW! Eh, Marvel I guess since they had TFs once under their banner and got me collecting in the first place.
I like characters from both Marvel and DC.
Should have "both" and "neither" as choices as well.
Some of us like both.
Some of us like independents only.
Prefer Marvel for its range of heroes. main favorites are Wolverine, Spiderman, Hulk and Ghost Rider.
However my fave superhero is Batman and his villains, although not really keen on many of the other DC superheroes.
DC, no question about it. The only Marvel title I really got into was Punisher MAX.
One More Day or Batman
green lantern, superman, and the villins like sinestro and the different lantern corps
Once Ultimate Spider-Man ends it's current run, I will be dropping my last Marvel title. I just don't think they understand who their characters are anymore, as evidenced by everything that has happened since Civil War #1. Nobody is behaving like themselves, from Iron Man picking a fight with Captain America, to Mr. Fantastic choosing his duty over his family, to Spider-Man making a deal with the devil. I just don't like it. Plus, it seems like every book either stars Wolverine or has Wolverine in a guest starring role.
DC, while they do have their fair share of problems, understands who they are and I like their characters a lot more. Their world is a bit more fantastical than Marvel's is and I read comics for escapism, not because they necessarily reflect what is going on in the real world.
In one of the recent books, Superman said to the others something like "the world needs better heroes." I like that approach to the concept of heroes compared to Marvel's approach, which is to blur the line between hero and villain.
I'm not sure what draws me to their comics, but I just like them moreso than DC.
It used to be I would have said, with out a question, Marvel. However, Marvel's stories within the last two years have really pushed me away. OMD/BND killed Spidey for me. Ultimatum is killing the Ultimate Universe. Young Avengers is in an off and on again limbo... So it looks like pretty soon I wont be getting any Marvel titles at all.
These days I find myself looking more at what DC is doing. Green Lantern especially ever since the Sinestro Corps War has had my attention.
Uncanny X-men is my long time title. I collect it when I don't read any other books. That being said, DC is my big company of choice right now. Despite Final Crisis, DC has a vision for their universe that is geared toward old school readers like myself. DC is trying to return to a Silver Age status meaning they're trying to keep old fans (the backbone of the industry) from running away. This is the same approach Marvel was trying in the early 2000s to great success. Is it a 100% hit for DC? No always, but its better than Marvel's current plan. And Marvel...I dunno what the fuck they're trying to do anymore.
DC lately has the better stories.
Guys don't get me wrong I do like DC because they haven't F***** up any of there characters. But I have loved marvel since I was a kid. I remember wakeing up and watching X-men and Batman but Marvel has always been cooler to me.
Yeah, I prefer Dark Horse and IDW.
I like both, but lean more towards DC.
