Lets hope they did gave him more time for train for the Defenders, if not at least give him more time before they film season 2
Andrew Mena on ABTV pointed out that Iron Fist actually did not have a fight choreographer in the credits, just a generic action guy. This is in contrast to Daredevil, who had Philip Silviera (also did Deadpool). It really shows. The fights weren't the only problem. The writing, plotting, acting, casting . . .utter failure.
Interesting. I was wondering about this. Usually when there is a production that features martial arts prominently you'll find mention of how long the actor(s) trained prior to filming, the bona fides of the fight choreographer/consultant, etc. in the marketing/behind the scenes stuff. It was all conspicuously absent in the case of Iron Fist.
They should sub out Rosario Dawson and use Danny Rand as the crossover character that binds the shows together this next round. That way, you get the shared universe, the character interactions (which will probably be the best part of Defenders), and nobody has to slog through Iron Fist Season 2. Everybody wins.
You know I always wondered why Avengers HQ at Stark Tower was never present on The Marvel Netflix New York Skyline well based off Spoiler the Spiderman Homecoming summary that question is answered meaning that Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders , and The Punisher are post Homecoming.
Finally finished Iron Fist. Took about 3 months. They really could have trimmed it down to 8 episodes.
Spoiler well Jessica has to be pre-Spider-Man, because its states it was a year since Reva Connors death and the show its shown that her death occured in 2014, while Homecoming is set in 2016
Soooo... two Great Lakes Avengers with goofy ass powers alongside four cool members of New Warriors? The more I read the less interested I am.
Agreed. The GLA characters work in a comedic setting. The New Warriors? Not so much. At least I don't think so.
