News: BREAKING: Marvel Moving Ahead With DOCTOR STRANGE

I've always liked the concept of DR. Strange so this might be entertaining.

And it makes me think- so far the Avengers Initiative movie project has been widely successful. If Strange gets made, could they try & do the same thing again but with The Defenders??

I'm very very weary of this. I just don't see Strange's costume translating well to the big screen. Yet, I hope they don't radically alter it to make the concept more screen friendly. This feels like huge hit or big miss, certainly a lot of other Marvel titles they could choose to adapt.

Not likely. Dr. Strange and Hulk are the only core defenders characters (other than the B-D listers that make up the rest of the team) that aren't part of the Fantastic Four rights. IE Silver Surfer and Namor.

Namor's never actually been USED by any of the Fantastic Four films so his rights may be in question. Wasn't he rumored for Captain America's movie at one point?

And it might actually work to their advantage if they find a less-complex alternative to the Silver Surfer.

Can't see Dr. Strange crossing over onto the screen; he was big in the

    comic book arena.
