I think he did that on purpose, as in he doesn't count RG1 as a Simon Furman story.

    How about..No.

Marvel G1 had it's chance. It's had MANY chances.

Why not let the Dreamwave Unicron Trilogy comics have a continuation? Or how about give Transformers Animated an official chance?

I don't hate the original comics, but in the last 30 years we've had almost 10 or more continuations of it. How about they wrap up stories from other stuff that was never wrapped up. G1 Marvel is Done, Over It's finished! IT had it's run, and it had it's chances to continue.

Too many cooks spoil the pot. Too many versions of the same d@mn comic spoil the original. Just let it drop for a few years, do other things, THEN THEN go back and make a new one if your THAT desperate

The question isn't if there needs to be a new continuation to Marvel G1, it is which sequel is the official/recommended one.

Well people are always going to be divided on this,my take on this is that G2 was always the official marvel continuation though it needed an ending, furman can`t deny this,Rg1 looks like furman got the US and UK run and mixed it together and called it an "official ending".

It would be nice to get an ending for us UK folks, or for anyone worldwide who read the UK comics. All our continuations and endings this far have been for the US Marvel comics only, when in reality the G1 comics were far more than just the American stuff.

I mean, what happened to Professor Morris after Centurion died? How did future-Rodimus cope with having a Unicron tainted Matrix inside him for hundreds of years? Was there ever a final pay-off to the Magnus/Galvatron rivalry? Who was that Megatron we saw in the Earthforce stories?

There was a lot of stuff left hanging there, all of which seemed far more important than "what happened to the original headmaster heads?" and "wouldn't you like to see the Demons again?"

I do, but he's not the writer he used to be.

That would be Beast Wars. Every attempt to continue/reboot G1 has at best fallen flat, at worst been a trainwreck.

All good ideas. I'd prefer Hasbro wait until someone else gets the license to go ahead with these, of course.
