Awesome - I have 3 pieces of Jeff's in my office; the cover to Swoop vs Divebomb, Prime being attacked by the Predacons in Prey and a submission sketch of Armada Prime for the UK comic.

Pardon the bad quality, it's just a quick snap with my phone camera.

Man, I love this guy's work.

No matter what this goes for it will be a waste. The art on the G1 comic was horrendously bad.

Is it just me or does Cliffjumper's head look unusually phallic?

Pffffft. Geoff Senior wants a word with you. As do Ron Smith and Will Simpson.

Sadly Jeff Anderson was my least favourite artist. All his 'Bots looked like they were wearing cardboard boxes. And for some reason he could never get the energy blasts from weapons to point straight!

I'd still love these for nostalgia purposes.

I can only assume that you are refering to the US run and not Geoff Seniors outstanding work for Marvel UK Transformers?

EVERYTHING from the G1 Marvel comic is complete and utter ass. And whom ever it was behind it should be ashamed of it.

SOMETHING in this thread is worth being ashamed of, that's for sure. ¬_¬

I couldn't agree more. I was going to get all riled up and then I realised that this is the same chap who actively enjoys posting almost perversely 'controversial' views in other threads. For example :

"I actively hate...Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The PT is far and away the best part of Star Wars".

Each to his own, but frankly I have more taste in my penis.

:lol  Wow, didn't expect to read that in this thread.

Anyway, good for the person who collects and can afford this auction. Best of LUCK! :thumb

Those look great on the wall. Anderson was pretty good and it looks like some target 2006 and prey art work.

It was simpson's art work that didn't work for me. The dinobot hunt and target 2006 parts he did were so hard to look at. It seemed like there was a lack of depth and the coloring did not make it look better.

I like senior and wildman stuff the best and theirs was featured at the end of the marvel run so the US had some good moments. One of my favorites also was from issue 7-8, the ratchet-megatron-dinobots story. I wish whoever did those would have done more work with transformers.

I used to get depressed when I went to the local shop to pick up my comic and saw it was an Anderson issue. At least he did have some style though.

Surprised you don't like Simpson. His 'splash page for Snarl coming through the fence in 'The Dinobot Hunt' is a classic, as is his much more refined work on 'In the National Interest' (the best representations of Soundwave and the Dinobots in the whole G1 run are in that story).

I appreciate the art work but its just not for me I guess. Like music, everyone has their prefrences. And your right about anderson, it was a little stale at times too.
